Brett Favre is finally getting the hang of this thing called retirement.
Despite numerous quarterbacks suffering injuries as of late, Favre posted on his website that he is not returning to the NFL.
“I'm enjoying retirement with my family and have no plans to play football,” he wrote. “I haven't contacted nor have I been contacted by any teams and all reports are inaccurate."
ESPN Chicago reported that the oft-retired quarterback “would listen” if the Chicago Bears contacted him about taking over for the remainder of the season. The report cites sources close to the legendary QB.
Favre, 42, has left the game on two separate occasions, only to come back each time.
Favre appeared in 13 games with the Minnesota Vikings last season, throwing for 2,509 yards with 11 touchdowns and 19 interceptions in 13 games.
