14. Jermichael Finley (Green Bay Packers) @ Cleveland

Coming off a six reception for 128 yards and a touchdown Week 4, many owners were hoping for a huge game from Jermichael Finley coming off a bye to face the Detroit Lions last week. He did have five receptions for 54 yards during the 26-0 victory, but we were really hoping for double digit fantasy points in this match-up. He has another decent match-up this week against a Cleveland Browns defense that is giving up 242 passing yards per game this season. Consider Finley a low end TE1 play this week as he takes another step forward in becoming a solid fantasy football option by seasons end.
Point Projection: 7 points

15. Zach Miller (Oakland Raiders) vs. New York Jets

Owners who used Zach Miller as a bye week replacement last week were rewarded with his best game of the season. He had six catches for 139 yards with an 86-yard touchdown in a shocking Raiders victory over the Philadelphia Eagles and he gave fantasy football owners a reason to hang on to him. Keep in mind that he does play for the offensively challenged Raiders, but he is a talented tight end who could be used as a one week replacement when the match-up is right. Miller does have a tough game this week against the New York Jets who have the eighth ranked pass defense this season.
Point Projection: 6 points

16. Benjamin Watson (New England Patriots) @ Tampa Bay  *At Wembley Stadium - London*

Benjamin Watson did not record a catch for the first time this season as the Patriots beat the Tennessee Titans Week 6, but they really didn’t need him during the 59-0 victory. Watson had been questionable with a head injury all week and once New England got a big lead they were able to rest him. Keep on eye on Watson’s status during the week, if healthy consider him a TE2 this week and a decent bye week replacement if needed against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass defense that has given up 13 touchdowns in just six games.
Point Projection: 5 points

17. Dustin Keller (New York Jets) @ Oakland

After scoring 18 fantasy points over the first two weeks of the season Dustin Keller has only managed to score six total points over his next four games. He has just 14 receptions for 187 yards with one touchdown this season. Keller should be considered a backup fantasy tight end at this point in the season. This week the Jets travel to Oakland to play a Raiders team coming off a big win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Point Projection: 4 points

18. Kevin Boss (New York Giants) vs. Arizona

Coming off a season in which he had 33 receptions with six touchdowns, expectations were reasonably high for Kevin Boss heading into the 2009 season. He has battled an ankle injury at times and he has only managed 11 receptions for 161 yards without a touchdown through six games. Boss should remain on your bench until proves to be more then a low-end fantasy football option.
Point Projection: 4 points

19. Jeff King (Carolina Panthers) vs. Buffalo

Jeff King has caught two passes in each of the Panthers last four games and he has a touchdown reception in each of their last two games. He has very little fantasy football value at this point and is not yet a recommended starting option, but he is worth keeping an eye on when you consider that Carolina’s only two wins have come when King has a touchdown reception.
Point Projection: 3 points

20. Anthony Fasano (Miami Dolphins) vs. New Orleans

Anthony Fasano has been a huge disappointment this season. He did manage his best game of the season Week 5 right before the Dolphins’ bye week, when he had four receptions for 38 yards with his first touchdown of the season. He had only managed four receptions with two fumbles during the first four weeks of the season, so proceed with caution with him. Consider Fasano a low-end TE2 this week against the New Orleans Saints; he needs to continue to build a good rapport with new Miami quarterback Chad Henne before inserting him back into your starting lineup.
Point Projection: 3 points

21. Randy McMichael (St. Louis Rams) vs. Indianapolis

In a Week 6 overtime loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Randy McMichael had three catches for 32 yards. He now has 16 receptions this season for 176 yards, but he has not scored a touchdown. He is having a solid year coming back from being injured most of last season, but he is nothing more then a bench player in leagues where you are forced to carry two tight ends.
Point Projection: 3 points

22. Sean Ryan (Kansas City Chiefs) vs. San Diego

There were low expectations for Sean Ryan heading into his first season replacing Tony Gonzalez at tight end in Kansas City, but Ryan has performed fairly well. He has 14 receptions for 135 yards this season and he has found the end zone twice. He is playing for his fourth team in six seasons in the NFL and Ryan shouldn’t be inserted into starting line-up, but he is worth keeping an eye on.
Point Projection: 3 points

23. Dante Rosario (Carolina Panthers) vs. Buffalo

After totaling six receptions for 89 yards with two touchdowns during week’s two and three, Dante Rosario has only managed two receptions for 28 yards over the Panthers’ past two games coming off their bye week. He has been out-shined by his fellow Panthers teammate Jeff King over the past two weeks and Rosario should not be used this week against a Buffalo Bills defense that is ranked No. 4 against the pass this season.
Point Projection: 2 points

24. Daniel Coates (Cincinnati Bengals) vs. Chicago

Daniel Coates tied a season high with four receptions last week in a loss to the Houston Texans. He finished the game with 32 receiving yards, but he did lose a fumble. He now has 12 receptions for 118 yards this season, but he still has very little fantasy value. In 37 career games he has just 26 receptions without a touchdown.
Point Projection: 2 points

25. Daniel Fells (St. Louis Rams) vs. Indianapolis

With just two catches for 11 yards in a Week 6 overtime loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Daniel Fells is proving to be too inconsistent to be used as a fantasy tight end. He will have the occasional decent game, but is still nothing more then a back-up tight end in deep leagues.
Point Projection: 2 points

26. Robert Royal (Cleveland Browns) vs. Green Bay

After posting four receptions for 60 yards with a touchdown the first week of the season Robert Royal has only had four receptions for 33 yards without a touchdown over the Browns’ next five games. He has not recorded a single catch over the past two games and he no longer has any fantasy value.
Point Projection: 2 points

27. Desmond Clark (Chicago Bears) @ Cincinnati

Desmond Clark had three catches for 32 yards in a Week 6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. This was his best offensive performance of the season, but his fantasy value remains very low. He has just six receptions on the season and he should remain off fantasy rosters this week as the Bears face the Cincinnati Bengals.
Point Projection: 2 points

28. Shawn Nelson (Buffalo Bills) @ Carolina

Bills rookie Shawn Nelson was having his best game of his young career with 2 catches for 34 yards, before leaving the Week 6 match-up with the New York Jets with a concussion. He only has six receptions on the season and is not worth a spot on fantasy rosters at this point. Leave him on waivers for this week‘s game against the Carolina Panthers.
Point Projection: 1 point

29. Ben Patrick (Arizona Cardinals) @ New York Giants

Returning from a four game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, Ben Patrick had one catch for 10 yards last week. He will see regular playing time with the Cardinals this season, but he does not have any fantasy football value at this time.
Point Projection:: 1 point

30. Jerramy Stevens (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) vs. New England   *At Wembley Stadium - London*

Jerramy Stevens had 12 fantasy points over the first two weeks of the season, but he only has two catches over the next four games without recording a single fantasy point. He is not worth wasting a roster spot and should be left on waivers.
Point Projection: 1 point

WEEK 7 BYE WEEK TIGHT ENDS

John Carlson (Seattle Seahawks) - John Carlson’s season started with such promise when he scored 21 fantasy points the first week of the season, but he has cooled off scoring just 17 fantasy point over the Seahawks last five games. Use him as a low-end TE1 after the bye week; he has been targeted by Seattle quarterbacks 41 times this season.

Todd Heap (Baltimore Ravens) - In what has been a pleasant surprise this season, Todd Heap has once again become a focal point in the Ravens offense. He has 24 receptions for 262 yards with two touchdowns this season, as he has been able to stay relatively injury free. Use him as a high-end TE2 coming off the bye week, he is capable of being used as a bye week or injury replacement.

Tony Scheffler (Denver Broncos) - Tony Scheffler had his best game of the season right before the bye week when he had six receptions for 101 yards with a touchdown in a victory over the San Diego Chargers on Monday night. Scheffler showed that is a very athletic tight end and he is capable of having a big game. We would like to see more consistency, but is worth owning on fantasy rosters as a backup.

Marcedes Lewis (Jacksonville Jaguars) - After a big game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4 Mercedes Lewis has only had four receptions for 18 yards over the next two games. He is no more then a one week replacement when the match-up is right. He has an excellent match-up when the Jaguars return from their bye, as he gets to face the Titans team he has already scored 13 points against this season.

Bo Scaife (Tennessee Titans) - Bo Scaife did not record a catch Week 6 when the Titans were shutout by the New England Patriots. In four games played this season he has 12 receptions for 118 yards and he should be used strictly as a bench player.

Brandon Pettigrew (Detroit Lions) - With 13 receptions for 158 yards this season rookie Brandon Pettigrew has showed signs of why he was a first round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He is too inconsistent to be used as a starter, but he is worth a roster spot in deeper leagues that carry two tight ends.
