16. Benjamin Watson (New England Patriots) vs. Tennessee ** CHECK INJURY STATUS**
After posting a first half touchdown last week against the Denver Broncos, Benjamin Watson finished the game with just two catches for 13 yards as he was forced to leave the game early with a head injury. He is currently questionable for Week 6 with the head injury, so keep an eye on his status heading into the weekend. If Watson is healthy enough to play he would be worth using as a low-end starting option this week against a Titans’ defense that ranks 31st against the pass this season.
Point Projection: 5 points
17. Bo Scaife (Tennessee Titans) @ New England
Bo Scaife had a team high four receptions for 45 yards Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts. He has posted seven receptions in two games since returning from a knee injury that sidelined him for two weeks. Consider Scaife a TE2 this week as the struggling Titans head to New England to play the Patriots.
Point Projection: 4 points
18. Zach Miller (Oakland Raiders) vs. Philadelphia
With four receptions for 69 yards against the New York Giants in Week 5, Zach Miller had his best outing since Week 1 when he had six catches for 96 yards. Miller has a lot of potential and could be a weekly must-start if he played for a better team with a better quarterback. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, he still plays for the Raiders who still have JaMarcus Russell as their starting quarterback. Miller should remain as a reserve fantasy option this week against the Eagles.
Point Projection: 4 points
19. Kevin Boss (New York Giants) @ New Orleans **CHECK INJURY STATUS**
Kevin Boss was inactive Week 5 with an ankle injury that has been bothering him most of the season. He is currently listed as questionable for this week’s game with the New Orleans Saints. Boss has been no better then a No. 2 fantasy tight end this season with 10 receptions for 143 yards in four games played. Even if he is active this week, he should remains a back-up fantasy tight end.
Point Projection: 4 points
20. Dante Rosario (Carolina Panthers) @ Tampa Bay
After totaling six receptions and two touchdowns over his previous two games, Dante Rosario managed just one catch for 22 yards without a score Week 5 against the Washington Redskins. Rosario is a solid TE2 and could be used as a one-week replacement this week against a Buccaneers team that has given up 12 passing touchdowns this season.
Point Projection: 4 points
21. Brandon Pettigrew (Detroit Lions) @ Green Bay
Brandon Pettigrew had just three catches for 27 yards Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, he has shown signs of improvement over the first five games of his rookie season, but he still remains a back-up fantasy tight end. Pettigrew is worth a roster spot in deeper leagues; just make sure you keep him on your bench this week as the Lions travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.
Point Projection: 4 points
22. Sean Ryan (Kansas City Chiefs) @ Washington
Sean Ryan had two catches for 27 yards in a Week 5 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He now has 13 receptions for 124 yards with two touchdowns in his first season as the Chiefs starting tight end. Ryan has filled in admirably for Tony Gonzalez who was traded to the Atlanta Falcons during the off-season. He should only be starting this week if you are desperate for a one-week injury or bye week replacement.
Point Projection: 3 points
23. Daniel Graham (Denver Broncos) @ San Diego
Former Patriots tight end Daniel Graham posted three catches for 34 yards in a Week 5 victory over his former team. He now has 12 catches for 146 yards through five games, but has yet to find the end zone. Consider Graham a low-end No. 2 fantasy tight end option, not worth starting this week against the Chargers.
Point Projection: 3 points
24. Randy McMichael (St. Louis Rams) @ Jacksonville
Randy McMichael had just three catches for 45 yards in a Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He now has 13 receptions for 144 yards in five games this season, but he has yet to score a touchdown. McMichael should not be starting in any format, even in what appears to be good match-up this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Point Projection: 3 points
25. Tony Scheffler (Denver Broncos) @ San Diego
Tony Scheffler did have his best game of the season Week 5 when he had four receptions for 45 yards against the New England Patriots, but with only 10 receptions for 116 yards this season, he has been a fantasy disappointment. He started the season as a low-end TE1, but now he is only worth a roster spot in the deepest of leagues.
Point Projection: 3 points
26. Robert Royal (Cleveland Browns) @ Pittsburgh
It should not be a surprise that Robert Royal did not post a single catch Week 5, when you consider that the Browns completed just two passes in the entire game in a 6-3 victory over the Buffalo Bills. Royal should remain on your bench or on waivers as the Browns travel to Pittsburgh to play the defending Super Bowl Champs this week.
Point Projection: 2 points
27. Daniel Fells (St. Louis Rams) @ Jacksonville
Daniel Fells had five receptions for 45 yards in a Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He also had a crucial fumble inside the Minnesota 10-yard line, and he remains a low-end fantasy option, even after his two touchdown performance in Week 3. Fells has very little fantasy value and should remain on the waiver wire.
Point Projection: 2 points
28. Alge Crumpler (Tennessee Titans) @ New England
In a Week 5 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the Titans No. 2 tight end Alge Crumpler managed just three catches for 14 yards with a lost fumble. His value took a big hit last week when the Titans No. 1 tight end Bo Scaife returned from a knee injury. Crumpler is not worth a fantasy roster spot at this point this season.
Point Projection: 2 points
29. Jeff King (Carolina Panthers) @ Tampa Bay
Jeff King had two receptions for 30 yards in Week 5, which included a 17-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He now has seven receptions for 87 yards with one touchdown this season. King is not a consistent fantasy option as such he should remain a waiver wire casualty.
Point Projection: 2 points
30. Will Heller (Detroit Lions) @ Green Bay
Rookie Brandon Pettigrew draws most of the attention at tight end in Detroit, but the Lions’ No. 2 option, Will Heller, has made the most of his opportunities. He has eight catches for 109 yards with one touchdown this season. Heller does not get enough opportunities to earn a fantasy roster spot, but he has done enough to appear on the fantasy football radar.

WEEK 5 BYE WEEK TIGHT ENDS
Jason Witten (Dallas Cowboys) - Jason Witten has been a bit of a disappointment this season after being drafted by many owners as the top tight end in fantasy football. His 30 fantasy points have him ranked as the No. 13 tight end in fantasy football. Witten is still one of the most talented tight ends in all of football and should be used as a TE1 when the Cowboys return from their bye week.
Dallas Clark (Indianapolis Colts) - With 35 receptions for 441 yards and two touchdowns, Dallas Clark has been the most productive tight end in fantasy football. He continues to be a big target for Peyton Manning in the Colts’ high-powered offense. Clark may be the best tight end in football right now and should be considered a fantasy football must-start on a weekly basis.
Vernon Davis (San Francisco 49ers) - Vernon Davis is finally starting to produce No. 1 fantasy tight end numbers. Through five games, he has 22 receptions for 262 yards with three touchdowns. Davis should make a solid low-end TE1 during most match-ups this season.
Anthony Fasano (Miami Dolphins) - With just eight receptions on the season Anthony Fasano has been a huge disappointment for fantasy owners. He has more fumbles (two) than he has touchdowns (one), and he has quickly gone from a low-end starting tight end option to waiver wire fodder in a few short weeks.
