Mario Manningham (New York Giants) vs. Oakland
As Steve Smith (NYG) has become a sure-fire No. 1 receiver in New York, Manningham’s amazing first two weeks have slowly tapered off. He’s still seeing some targets although most are now headed way of Smith. With Hakeem Nicks back in town, it is just one more player for Eli Manning and the Giants to spread the ball to. Mario has posted just 9 (98 yards) fantasy points in the last two weeks, and against a surprisingly tough Oakland Raiders pass defense, that may be what to expect in week 5.
Derrick Mason (Baltimore Ravens) vs. Cincinnati
On the surface, this is a solid match-up for one of the better wide outs in the past decade. Derrick Mason is the definition of consistency from a fantasy football standpoint, and most of his fantasy owners are glad he came out of retirement to play this year (Joe Flacco appreciates it as well). Last week we told you not to play Braylon Edwards, asCincinnati has dominated opposing team’s No.1 WR this season, and our advice paid off to those who listened. Well Mason is that No. 1 receiver going against the Bengals this week, and considering Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Greg Jennings, and Brandon Marshall didn’t do anything against them, it’s probably a sure bet that Mason struggles in Week 5. Take a look at other Ravens’ wide outs like Mark Clayton and Kelley Washington who have some decent match-ups against a poor statistical Bengals secondary, however.
TIGHT ENDS – SIT ‘EM
Kellen Winslow (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) @ Philadelphia
The Eagles has been great at stopping opposing TEs this season (103 yards in 3 games for a 34.3 yard per game average). Kellen Winslow has been anything but a warrior in the past two games having games of 21 and 14 yards, respectively (well not really but you get the point). Winslow is working on a new relationship with signal caller Josh Johnson, and if he’s not the answer there, we don’t know who is. Don’t be surprised if Winslow and Johnson gain a rapport down the road but you don’t learn on the fly against a tough Eagles secondary. Comfortably sit Winslow on the bench in Week 5 and check out our Bruno Boys TE Rankings to find a safer option on the waiver wire.
KICKERS – SIT ‘EM
Shayne Graham (Cincinnati Bengals) @ Baltimore
There are multiple reasons as to why Graham is not a solid kicking option this week. First and foremost he had a field goal and an extra point blocked in Week 4 against Cleveland? That’s a tough feat to accomplish but it happened to Graham last week and the same Browns’ defender blocked both. Also, the Ravens are a solid defensive team and should limit Graham’s FG chances this week. Finally, Graham has only averaged 4 points per week, so there’s a good shot that he isn’t roster-able anyways, but in case you needed assurance that he won’t have a good week, here you are.
DEFENSES – SIT ‘EM
Seattle Seahawks D/ST vs. Jacksonville
The Seahawks have spent the last three weeks proving to fantasy football owners that they are not a worthy start unless playing the St. Louis Rams (once more this season). Sans Julian Peterson, three of their starting secondary players, and their inability to generate turnovers, they have not done much for fantasy owners. Their Week 5 opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, are top-10 in total yardage, 10th in the NFL in scoring (24.2 ppg), and most importantly, they take care of the ball. After a rough start in 2009, they have proven they can put up great numbers offensively with QB David Garrard, RB Maurice Jones-Drew and WR Mike Sims-Walker. leading the way and a bottom feeding Seahawks defense shouldn’t slow the Jaguars down.

Couldn’t agree more, guys. These were awful. Although I’d probably argue and say Manning, Slaton and Graham weren’t terrible sit picks.
Let’s just say there is some talent in getting almost every pick wrong…
