16. Benjamin Watson (New England Patriots) vs. Baltimore

After starting the season with six receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns the first week of the season, it appeared that return of Tom Brady was going to put Benjamin Watson back on the fantasy map. But, Watson only managed 4 receptions for 46 yards over the next two weeks, and he is once again proving to be unreliable. Keep Watson on your bench in a tough match-up this week against the Baltimore Ravens.
Point Projection: 5 points

17. Alge Crumpler (Tennessee Titans) @ Jacksonville

With Bo Scaife sidelined with injury the past two weeks, Alge Crumpler is making the most of his opportunities. He has managed 8 catches over the two week span for 85 yards. Crumpler’s play has increased his fantasy value and he should be considered a mid-level backup tight end.
Point Projection: 5 points

18. Marcedes Lewis (Jacksonville Jaguars) vs. Tennessee

Lewis opened the season with three receptions in each of the first two games, including a touchdown Week 2. He appeared ready to become a viable fantasy football option, but after only managing one catch for 18 yards last week against the Houston Texans, Lewis remains a risky option; especially in a tough match-up this week against the Titans who are desperate for a win.
Point Projection: 4 points

19. Zach Miller (Oakland Raiders) @ Houston

Zach Miller started the season with such promise, catching six passes for 96 yards in Week 1, but he only has two catches over the past two games. He has a ton of talent, but it is wasted in the Raiders poor offensive system. Miller is no longer worth starting until he has a better quarterback than JaMarcus Russell passing to him.
Point Projection: 4 points

20. Daniel Graham (Denver Broncos) vs. Dallas

Graham had two catches for 33 yards in Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders, giving him six catches for 76 yards through the first three weeks. He seems to have passed Tony Scheffler as the No. 1 tight end in Denver, but it does not make him more then a low-end No. 2 fantasy option.
Point Projection: 4 points

21. Robert Royal (Cleveland Browns) vs. Cincinnati

Robert Royal is a veteran tight end who appeared to have found some new found youth in the first game of the season when he had four catches for 60 yards and a touchdown. Since that first game, he has just two catches for 20 yards. He should remain a reserve fantasy tight end.
Point Projection: 3 points

22. Randy McMichael (St. Louis Rams) @ San Francisco

Randy McMichael has eight catches for 82 yards on the season. He is healthy after a brutal broken leg abruptly ended his season early in 2008, but the Rams offense has been awful so far this season, leaving McMichael with very little fantasy value.
Point Projection: 3 points

23. Brandon Pettigrew (Detroit Lions) @ Chicago

The rookie tight end caught two passes for 27 yards in the Lions’ victory over the Washington Redskins. He now has six receptions for 67 yards on the season and is the Lions best pass catching tight end option. Pettigrew looks like he will be a very good tight end one day, but he is only worth a roster spot in deeper fantasy leagues that carry multiple tight ends.
Point Projection: 3 point

24. Tony Scheffler (Denver Broncos) vs. Dallas

Tony Scheffler only has three catches for 45 yards on the season. He did score a touchdown Week 2, but he appears to be the No. 2 tight end on the Broncos behind Daniel Graham. Scheffler has very little fantasy value at this time.
Point Projection: 3 points

25. Jermichael Finley (Green Bay Packers) @ Minnesota

Coming off the best game of his young career in which he had four catches for 56 yards Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Jermichael Finley was held without a catch Week 3 versus the St. Louis Rams. He is not worth anything more than a bench spot on your roster until he proves to be more consistent.
Point Projection: 3 points

26. Chris Baker (New England Patriots) vs. Baltimore

Chris Baker had his best game in a couple of years when he had two catches for 42 yards with a touchdown in the Patriots’ Week 3 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Even with the 10-point outing, Baker remains low-end backup fantasy option.
Point Projection: 3 points

27. Daniel Fells (St. Louis Rams) @ San Francisco

Do not rush out to pick-up Daniel Fells after his two touchdown game Week 3 versus the Green Bay Packers. Those were his only two receptions of the game, and it gives him three career catches in three plus NFL seasons with four different teams. He is a backup NFL tight end and should remain on waivers in fantasy leagues.
Point Projection: 3 points

28. Martellus Bennett (Dallas Cowboys) @ Denver

Bennett has three receptions for 27 yards on the season. He proved to be a solid red-zone target in 2008 scoring four touchdowns, but Jason Witten’s backup doesn’t appear to have any value this season and he is not worth a roster spot on your fantasy team.
Point Projection: 2 points

29. Anthony Fasano (Miami Dolphins) vs. Buffalo

No tight end has fallen further than Anthony Fasano this season. He went from a low-end starting fantasy tight end entering the season, to having zero fantasy value just three weeks into the season. He did not record a catch Week 3, and he has three catches to go with two fumbles on the season.
Point Projection: 2 points

30. Bo Scaife (Tennessee Titans) @ Jacksonville *CHECK INJURY STATUS*

Bo Scaife has not played since injuring his knee Week 1. His return to the field is still in question. He is worth a roster spot in deeper leagues or leagues in which he can be place on IR. Do not count on him to start for you anytime soon.
Point Projection: 2 points

WEEK 4 BYE WEEK TIGHT ENDS

Tony Gonzalez (Atlanta Falcons)

Tony Gonzalez has been exactly what the Atlanta Falcons had hoped for when they traded a second round pick for him in the off-season. He adds a dimension to the Falcons that they were missing last season, and he is a weekly must-start TE1.

Brent Celek (Philadelphia Eagles)

Brent Celek has picked up this season right were he left off during last years playoffs. He is one of the hottest tight ends in fantasy football with 22 receptions for 245 yards and two touchdowns. Consider him a low-end TE1 when the Eagles return from their bye week.

Dante Rosario (Carolina Panthers)

Dante Rosario has six receptions for 89 yards with two touchdowns through three games. He could make for a solid bye week replacement this season when the match-up is right.
