17. Chad Henne (Miami Dolphins) vs. Houston

Three straight weeks with double-digit fantasy football performances displays Chad Henne’s growth as a quarterback. However, the strength of Miami lies with its running game, which has helped set up the pass for Henne. It should be another average week for Henne as Houston is a team with a middle of the road defense. Don’t expect too much, but a fourth straight week with double-digit points looks pretty good and he should make a solid start in start two quarterback leagues.
Point Projection: 13 points

18. Carson Palmer (Cincinnati Bengals) vs. Kansas City

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer rebounded from three consecutive single-digit games to throw for 314 yards with two touchdowns and one interception last week in a close loss to the San Diego Chargers. This week Palmer finds himself in a favorable matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, which gave up 41 points to the Cleveland Browns last week. The only thing is, the Bengals will likely do most of their work on the ground with Cedric Benson and Larry Johnson, which limits Palmer’s value this week.
Point Projection: 13 points

19. Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons) vs. Buffalo

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan returned to action last week after missing the previous two games because of injury, and though the New York Jets were able to hold him in check for most of the game, he was at his best on the final drive where he threw his only touchdown pass of the game. The Jets have one of the toughest pass defenses in the league and though the Buffalo Bills are above average in this regard, they are not as good as the Jets. Expect nothing more than a decent week for Ryan.
Point Projection: 12 points

20. David Garrard (Jacksonville Jaguars) @ New England

For just the second time this season Jacksonville quarterback David Garrard threw three touchdowns in a game when he did so last week in a loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Unfortunately things won’t be so easy this week for Garrard as he and the Jaguars will travel to New England, where the the weather isn’t expected to be so good. Four road games for Jacksonville this season have resulted in single-digit games from Garrard and while we don’t expect him to be that bad this week, we don’t expect too much more than that either.
Point Projection: 11 points

21. Kyle Orton (Denver Broncos) @ Philadelphia

Despite losing to the Oakland Raiders last week, Denver quarterback Kyle Orton played pretty well as he threw for 278 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. However, he faces a much more difficult challenge this week as the Broncos travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. Statistically the Eagles are a middle of the road defense against the pass but in the last three games they’ve caused 11 turnovers and scored three defensive touchdowns.
Point Projection: 10 points

22. Ryan Fitzpatrick/ Trent Edwards/ Brian Brohm (Buffalo Bills) @ Atlanta

As mentioned earlier the Bills are in a tough situation at their quarterback position. None of the three quarterbacks — Fitzpatrick, Edwards and Brohm — are projected for good fantasy football games this week against the Atlanta Falcons. Since Buffalo was noncommittal about who would start this week at the time this article was done, we decided to project all three players and you can see that below.
Point Projection: Fitzpatrick - 10 points; Edwards - 9 points; Brohm - 5 points

23. Matt Hasselbeck (Seattle Seahawks) @ Green Bay

Things are starting to get ugly in Seattle and that includes the play of quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who threw four interceptions last week. Once considered one of the most reliable quarterbacks in the league and in fantasy football, Hasselbeck is really struggling behind some poor blocking. This week Hasselbeck should continue to find it tough to stay upright and move the football against a solid Green Bay Packers defense that looks to rebound after allowing 503 passing yards to the Pittsburgh Steelers..
Point Projection: 9 points

24. Jay Cutler (Chicago Bears) vs. Minnesota

Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler has not played well this season, but last week’s game was by far his worst as a Bear as he threw for just 94 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions. This week, against a tough Minnesota Vikings defense, doesn’t figure to be much better for Cutler but we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he gets a touchdown. Besides, it appears the Vikings may start to rest their starters in anticipation of the playoffs.
Point Projection: 9 points

25. Matt Cassel (Kansas City Chiefs) @ Cincinnati

Before last week Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel had thrown six interceptions and no touchdowns, yet he rebounded well by throwing for 331 yards with two touchdowns and no picks last week in the loss to the Cleveland Browns. This week Cassel and the Chiefs will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals. The Bengals have a much tougher defense than the Browns, as Cincinnati is third in the league in points allowed and because of this you can’t expect anything worth nothing from Cassel.
Point Projection: 8 points

26. Josh Freeman (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) @ New Orleans

After a couple games where he played very poorly, Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman rebounded last week as he threw for 205 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in a win over the Seattle Seahawks. However, Seattle does not have a very good defense but Freeman’s opponent this week, New Orleans, does. The Saints are the best team in the league in forcing interceptions, and Freeman’s pretty good at throwing picks. Though we feel Freeman is going to be a good quarterback in the NFL someday this isn’t the week to be getting all fancy with your lineup.
Point Projection: 8 points

27. Derek Anderson (Cleveland Browns) vs. Oakland

Starting quarterback Brady Quinn suffered a foot injury in Week 15 and will need season ending surgery. For the second time during the 2009 season Derek Anderson will start in his place. After last week one thing is clear about the Browns and that is they are much better when they run the ball than when they pass it. Considering running back Jerome Harrison rushed for 286 yards last week we would expect another run-heavy game-plan from Cleveland against the less than formidable Oakland Raiders  run defense. However, expect Anderson to air it out at some point and post somewhere between 150-200 passing yards to go along with a touchdown and a turnover or two.
Point Projection: 8 points

28. Mark Sanchez (New York Jets) @ Indianapolis

It’s now been seven consecutive weeks that Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has failed to register 10 or more fantasy football points. This week New York will play at Indianapolis, which has a defense that’s giving up an average of just 17.7 points per game. Any scoring the Jets do will likely come from the running game so Sanchez is headed for another single-digit game this week.
Point Projection: 7 points

29. Matt Moore (Carolina Panthers) @ New York Giants

Don’t be fooled by seeing Carolina quarterback Matt Moore throw for 299 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions last week in a win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings mailed in that game last week and Moore was able to catch them sleeping. That won’t happen this week against a New York Giants team that’s still fighting for a playoff spot.
Point Projection: 7 points

30. JaMarcus Russell / Charlie Frye (Oakland Raiders) @ Cleveland

As mentioned above, barring a it’s looking like Russell finds himself back in the starting role for the Raiders but that’s only because Frye and Gradkowski got hurt. On paper the Raiders have a good matchup this week against Cleveland, however you must keep in mind that Russell has yet to record a double-digit game this season.
Point Projection: 7 points

31. Drew Stanton / Daunte Culpepper (Detroit Lions) @ San Francisco

Daunte Culpepper started the game last week but was so bad he was replaced at halftime by Drew Stanton. Starting quarterback Matt Stafford is not expected to return this week as bad as the Lions are playing, so all signs point to Stanton getting the start against the San Francisco 49ers. Regardless of which Detroit quarterback plays you shouldn’t expect any kind of fantasy football production.
Point Projection: 6 points

32. Keith Null (St. Louis Rams) @ Arizona

What’s nice about St. Louis quarterback Keith Null is that he’s completing 64.8 percent of his passes on the season. What’s not good is that’s he thrown three times as many interceptions as touchdowns in his short playing time this season. A rookie from a small school on a bad team is a recipe for disaster, so you should avoid Null at all cost.
