While some wide receivers like Brandon Marshall, Andre Johnson, and DeSean Jackson came up huge for their fantasy owners in week 14, others not quite so much. We’re looking at you and your negative-1 point Mr. Randy Moss. 1. Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals) @ Detroit **CHECK INJURY STATUS**

Fitzgerald had one of his worst games of the season against the 49ers on Monday night, but then again, that was a common theme among Cardinals players in their bizarre seven turnover loss in San Fran. Fitzgerald hurt his knee in the game, but came back in, so that shouldn’t be a worry this week. Fantasy owners, though, shouldn’t worry about the defense that Arizona is playing this week – no team allows more passing yards per game or passing scores than the Lions.
Point Projection: 20 points

2. Andre Johnson (Houston Texans) @ St. Louis

Johnson had an amazing game for Houston in their win over Seattle, catching 10 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns … in the first half. He had just one catch for nine yards in the second half, and wound up with 11 receptions for 193 yards and two scores. He should be able to feast once again on the below-average Rams’ pass defense.
Point Projection: 19 points

3. Reggie Wayne (Indianapolis Colts) @ Jacksonville

Wayne had another down week against the Broncos last Sunday, with only four catches for 43 yards. It was the second game in a row that Wayne failed to amass 50 receiving yards and the third game in a row that he failed to catch at least five passes. But, that ends this week against the poor pass defense of Jacksonville, which is 26th in the NFL, and against whom Wayne had 10 receptions for a season-high 162 yards and one score against in Week 1.
Point Projection: 18 points

4. Brandon Marshall (Denver Broncos) vs. Oakland

Marshall had an unreal game against the Colts last week, setting an NFL record with 21 catches. He compiled 200 yards and two scores with that bundle of receptions and has caught at least five passes for 85 yards in five of his last six games. He had a touchdown on one of his five receptions for 67 yards when the Broncos and Raiders first squared off this season, back in Week 3.
Point Projection: 18 points

5. Miles Austin (Dallas Cowboys) @ New Orleans

Austin caught a touchdown pass last week in the Cowboys’ loss to the Chargers for the third straight game. He totaled six catches for 71 yards, and it was also the third game in a row that he had at least that many catches and yards. New Orleans doesn’t give up many passing scores, but they are 23rd in the league in passing yards allowed per game, allowing 235.6 yards per game.
Point Projection: 17 points

6. Calvin Johnson (Detroit Lions) vs. Arizona

Johnson was a victim of the terribleness of Daunte Culpepper last week as the Lions were smashed by the Ravens, catching only four passes for 37 yards, but he’s ripe for a bounce back game in a big way against the Cardinals. Arizona is 29th in the NFL in pass defense, and there is optimism in Detroit that Matthew Stafford will be on his way back.
Point Projection: 16 points

7. Anquan Boldin (Arizona Cardinals) @ Detroit

Boldin caught five passes for 40 yard against the 49ers last Monday, though he also lost a fumble, making a lousy game even lousier for his fantasy owners. Never fear, however, because the Detroit Lions are on the docket this week, and they possess the single-worst pass defense in the entirety of the National Football League.
Point Projection: 15 points

8. Wes Welker (New England Patriots) @ Buffalo

With 10 catches for 105 yards last week, Welker has now caught at least 10 passes for 100 yards in five games this season, including three of his last four. He has been getting most of the targets from Tom Brady, especially last week as Randy Moss looked disinterested. Buffalo has a top-five pass defense, but that shouldn’t slow Welker down; he had 12 catches for 93 yards against them in Week 1.
Point Projection: 15 points

9. DeSean Jackson (Philadelphia Eagles) vs. San Francisco

Jackson was one of the seemingly many receivers with huge games last Sunday. In Philly’s win over the Giants, he caught six passes for 178 yards and one score. His speed is something that most teams simply cannot compete with, which is why he finds himself open deep down the field on a near weekly basis.
Point Projection: 14 points

10. Sidney Rice (Minnesota Vikings) @ Carolina

Rice led all Vikings players with nine targets last week, but the Bengals’ corners did a good job for the bulk of the game, and limited Rice to only four catches for 39 yards. However, he did score a touchdown, which was a flip from what Rice had been doing – collecting yards but not scores. Carolina has one of the best pass defenses around, but Rice gets so many looks, it’s impossible to sit him because the threat of him putting up big numbers is always there.
Point Projection: 14 points

11. Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers) vs. Minnesota

Smith has only caught five passes over the last two weeks, yet he’s still been productive, totaling more than 150 receiving yards. That includes last week’s two-catch, 83-yards, one-touchdown game. Smith now has at least 75 receiving yards in three of his last four games, but the fact that he’s doing it with so few receptions is a bit worrisome. Still, he’s on a roll, so you have to feel good about his chances to at posting a solid game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Point Projection: 13 points

12. Vincent Jackson (San Diego Chargers) vs. Cincinnati

With seven receptions for 120 yards, Jackson broke out of a funk that saw him gather fewer than 60 receiving yards in five consecutive games. He still hasn’t scored since Week 9, and Cincinnati is above-average against the pass, but it feels like he’s due to find the end zone, doesn’t it?
Point Projection: 12 points

13. Randy Moss (New England Patriots) @ Buffalo

Moss wanted nothing to do with the game on Sunday; at least that‘s what it seemed like as the Patriots knocked off the Panthers. He actually had, gulp, minus one fantasy point for the game in league’s that penalize negative two points for fumbles. That’s because he lost a fumble, while catching just one pass for 16 yards.
Point Projection: 12 points

14. Chad Ochocinco (Cincinnati Bengals) @ San Diego

Ochocinco led Cincinnati in receiving yards last Sunday in his team’s loss to the Vikings … with 27. However, the Ocho did save himself, at least in fantasy terms, by scoring a touchdown for the second straight game. San Diego has a top-10 pass defense, but if any Bengals receiver will do damage against them, it will be Ochocinco.
Point Projection: 12 points

15. Marques Colston (New Orleans Saints) vs. Dallas

For most of this season, Colston hasn’t been catching enough passes to turn in the huge numbers that fantasy owners may expect. His six receptions last week were his highest total since Week 8, but he still managed just 54 yards. Still, he did score a touchdown for the third consecutive week, so despite his blah yardage totals, he is offering fantasy owners plenty of points.
Point Projection: 11 points

16. Santonio Holmes (Pittsburgh Steelers) vs. Green Bay

Holmes is playing very well at the moment, even if his team is doing anything but. He caught six passes for 93 yards last week against Cleveland, and he has gained at least 85 receiving yards in six of his last eight games. Green Bay has the No. 3 unit against the pass, but they’ve also allowed more touchdown passes than all but two other teams.
Point Projection: 11 points

17. Jerricho Cotchery (New York Jets) vs. Atlanta

Cotchery had a lousy outing last week, catching only one pass for 26 yards with Kellen Clemens’ at quarterback. But, Mark Sanchez should be back this week, and he loves throwing to Cotchery, who has collected at least 65 receiving yards in eight of the 10 games they have played together. Those numbers bode well against an Atlanta team that is 30th in the league against the pass.
Point Projection: 10 points

18. Donald Driver (Green Bay Packers) @ Pittsburgh

Driver had his worst statistical game of the season last week against the Bears, catching only two passes for a paltry 11 yards. In fact, he’s had season-lows in receiving yards in each of his last two games, though he did score a touchdown two weeks ago. Nonetheless, we’ll need more evidence that he’s wearing down before writing him off.
Point Projection: 10 points

19. Steve Smith (New York Giants) @ Washington

In New York’s loss to Philadelphia last week, Smith did what he does in seemingly every game – catch a bunch of passes, each for about 10 yards. He had seven receptions for 74 yards overall in the contest, and he’s about as consistent a player as there is in fantasy. Against Washington in Week 1, he had six receptions for 80 yards.
Point Projection: 10 points

20. Robert Meachem (New Orleans Saints) vs. Dallas

Meachem led the Saints with 57 receiving yards last week, but those came on only four catches, and he stopped his streak of consecutive games with a touchdown at five. But don’t fret – he has a very good match-up this week against the Cowboys, who are 21st in the league in pass defense.
Point Projection: 9 points
