17. Matt Bryant (Atlanta Falcons) vs. Philadelphia

Welcome back to the NFL Matt Bryant. After being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past offseason, Bryant signed a free-agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons earlier this week. Atlanta decided it was best to cut bait with struggling veteran Jason Elam and the fresh leg of Bryant should be a boost for an offense that has attempted eight field goals over the past three games. Still, keep Bryant on the waiver wire until he gets back into the swing of things.
Point Projection: 7 points

18. Joe Nedney (San Francisco 49ers) @ Seattle

Week 12 marked the first time in almost a month that Nedney was able to convert on 2 field goal attempts and 2 extra points in the same game. His 9 fantasy points in that games was just the fourth time on the season that the veteran kicker has scored more than 8 fantasy points in a game. Despite having a mediocre season it’s worth noting that Nedney did score 12 points in a Week 2 meeting against the Seattle Seahawks, which is a season high.
Point Projection: 7 points

19. Nick Folk (Dallas Cowboys) @ New York Giants

Folk scored 30 fantasy points from Weeks 7-9 and was highly regarded as arguably the hottest kicker at that point, but it’s been downhill since. After scoring a combined zero fantasy points in Weeks 10-11 Folk was finally able to make a field goal on Thanksgiving Day and he finished with 5 fantasy points in Week 12. This weeks opponent, the New York Giants, have allowed opposing kickers to attempt just 12 field goals on the season and with this game likely being a shootout you can’t rely on Folk to get that many chances at three pointers. And, if he does, there is no guarantee he will make them.
Point Projection: 7 points

20. Neil Rackers (Arizona Cardinals) vs. Minnesota

Accuracy hasn’t been a problem for Rackers this season. In fact, you have to date back to September 20, 2009 to find the last time he missed a field goal. However, what’s been the problem for Rackers is the lack of field goal attempts. Since kicking 3 field goals in the season opener, Rackers has attempted just 10 field goals over the last 10 games and has been kicking extra points at a 3:1 rate over field goals. If Arizona is going to have a shot at beating the Minnesota Vikings they are going to need to find the end zone not settle for field goals.
Point Projection: 7 points

21. Dan Carpenter (Miami Dolphins) vs. New England

After being a hot commodity at the kicker position from Weeks 7-10 the value of Carpenter has fizzled of late. During that four game stretch Carpenter converted on 8 field goal attempts and 10 extra points en route to 39 fantasy points. Since, the second year kicker has attempted just one field goal over the last two weeks and has provided his owners with just 8 fantasy points. Until Carpenter starts showing signs of getting back on track you are better off making due with an option that has a better match-up.
Point Projection: 7 points

22. Ryan Succop (Kansas City Chiefs) vs. Denver

The rookie season of Succop has been a roller coaster ride but a large part of that has to do with the hit-or-miss Chiefs offense. He has nailed 7-of-9 field goals over his last four games and if the Chiefs can keep this game against the Denver Broncos close Succop could play a big role. However that appears to be a big “if” and he is better off on your bench or the waiver wire.
Point Projection: 7 points

23. Billy Cundiff (Baltimore Ravens) @ Green Bay

Talk about making the most of your opportunity. After being signed by the Ravens in Week 11 all Cundiff has done is 7-for-9 on field goal attempts and score 23 fantasy points. On top of that he kicked a game winning overtime field goal on Sunday night and seems to be fitting just right in on his new gig. With that being said we feel this is the week that Cundiff comes back to the earth. The Green Bay Packers allow just 4.8 fantasy football points per game to the kicking position and opponents have made just 9 field goals in 11 games against Green Bay. The only time a kicker made more than one field goal in a game against Green Bay was in Week 1 and we’d be surprised if that changed in Week 13.
Point Projection: 6 points

24. Kris Brown (Houston Texans) @ Jacksonville

Known for his accuracy, Brown has been far from the kicker that everyone had grown accustomed to over the years. On the season he has missed six of his 19 attempts and with two glaring misses in Week 11 the Texans thought about parting ways with Brown. He did have 2 field goals and 3 extra points in a Week 12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts but Brown has been limited as a kicker this season and isn’t one that you want to rely on with your playoff chances on the line.
Point Projection: 6 points

25. Jay Feely (New York Jets) @ Buffalo

Not only have the Buffalo Bills been stingy to opposing fantasy kickers, allowing the 11th fewest points to the position and just 6 combined points to opposing kickers the last two weeks, but the New York Jets offense has failed to get Feely on the field of late. The veteran has just two field goal attempts over the last two weeks and until the Jets offense can show some signs of improvement it’s best to stay away.
Point Projection: 5 points

26. Shaun Suisham (Washington Redskins) vs. New Orleans

After missing 2 field goals in a tight 7-6 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Suisham rebounded last week and knocked down a crucial field goal despite the Redskins blowing a lead and eventually losing to the Philadelphia Eagles. Suisham is averaging just 5.9 fantasy points per game on the season and we’d be surprised if he reaches that total against a New Orleans Saints team that has given up just 10 fantasy points to opposing kickers over the last three games.
Point Projection: 5 points

27. Rian Lindell (Buffalo Bills) vs. New York Jets

The Buffalo Bills have shown some life on the offensive side of the ball of late since Dick Jauron was dismissed. And, it has resulted in two solid outings for Lindell as the kicker has racked up 17 fantasy points over the last two weeks. However, the Jets limit opposing kickers to just 5.8 points per contest, and there are better options out there for this week.
Point Projection: 5 points

28. Josh Scobee (Jacksonville Jaguars) vs. Houston

In what was an all around horrible performance for the Jaguars’, Scobee missed 2 field goal attempts and finished with just one fantasy point in Week 13. On the season the veteran kicker has missed 8 field goals and he has the lowest kicking accuracy in the NFL. One more bad game out of Scobee and head coach Jack Del Rio might be holding kicker tryouts next week. Jacksonville will need touchdowns to keep up with the Houston Texans and Scobee should be nowhere near your roster.
Point Projection: 4 points

29. Connor Barth (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) @ Carolina

Barth is only as good as his offense is and if you never know what Tampa Bay offense is going to show up it’s tough to start him despite his powerful leg. In Week 10, he did nailed three 50+ yard field goal attempts against the Miami Dolphins but he has just 2 field goal attempts since. With the Carolina Panthers having locked down the kicker position this season you are better off overlooking his big leg and finding someone in a better offense to handle your Week 13 kicking duties.
Point Projection: 4 points

30. Sebastian Janikowski (Oakland Raiders) @ Pittsburgh

For years we’ve been an admirer of the big leg that Janikowski has but when he gets to show it off once every month it doesn’t bode well for his fantasy football owners, or lack of them. Still, Janikowski has misses two of his last five field goals and has a whopping 5 extra points over the past six weeks. Combined those paltry numbers with the fact that the Cincinnati Bengals allow just 5.5 fantasy points to the opposing kickers and you have yourself a must sit kicker in Week 13.
Point Projection: 4 points

31. Jason Hanson (Detroit Lions) @ Cincinnati

Hanson hasn’t been getting many field goal chances but when he’s got the opportunity he hasn’t been automatic. The veteran has missed three of his last eight chances and if he can’t make the most of limited opportunity it’s not worth relying on him this late in the season. Stay clear of Hanson at all costs in Week 13.
Point Projection: 4 points

32. Phil Dawson (Cleveland Browns) vs. San Diego

Do we really need to go into detail on why you shouldn’t play the Cleveland Browns kicker? The Browns averaged 11 points per game and Dawson averages 2.4 fantasy points per game. That should be enough detail.
