It’s Week 13, which means more than likely this week either marks the first week of your league’s playoffs or the last week to vie for a playoff slot. Either way, it’s more crucial than ever to field the correct fantasy line-up, and that extends all the way to the kicking position. Could there be anything worst than seeing your playoff hopes wither away because you played the wrong kicker? We don’t think so. As such, check out the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 13 Kicker Rankings.

1. Stephen Gostkowski (New England Patriots) @ Miami

Let’s play the Million Dollar Pyramid. Clues: A New England Patriots’ offense looking to make a statement after being shut down Monday Night against the New Orleans Saints. A match-up with the Miami Dolphins, a team that’s giving up the most fantasy points to opposing kickers. 14-points in his last outing against the Dolphins back in week 9. Answer: What are reasons for Stephen Gostkowski appearing No. 1 in our kicker rankings this week.
Point Projection: 14 points

2. Rob Bironas (Tennessee Titans) @ Indianapolis

With five straight double digit performances, Bironas may be the hottest kicker in all of fantasy right now. And, while Vince Young faces his toughest test to date this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts, the match-up is one that actually benefits Bironas. The Colts sport a bend-but-not-break type of defense, which tends to lead to a lot of field goal chances for opposing kickers.
Point Projection: 12 points

3. Matt Prater (Denver Broncos) @ Kansas City

Prater is coming off his best fantasy football performance of the year, as the kicker racked up 15 fantasy points in Week 12 on four field goals and two extra points. The Broncos’ kicker may not match that this week, but he should be in double digits once again as the Broncos take on the Chiefs, who allow the third most fantasy points to opposing kickers.
Point Projection: 12 points

4. Robbie Gould (Chicago Bears) vs. St. Louis

Yes, we know the Chicago Bears’ offense has struggled as Jay Cutler is more prone to throwing the ball to opposing defenders than he is his receivers, but Chicago has taken advantage of its match-up against weak defensive opponents In week four, they put up 48 points against the Detroit Lions, and in week eight, they amassed 30 points against the Cleveland Browns. Gould had double digit fantasy points in each of those contests and should capitalize again against a St. Louis Rams’ defense that is allowing 27 points per contest.
Point Projection: 11 points

5. Ryan Longwell (Minnesota Vikings) @ Arizona

You kick for a team that scores 31.1 points per contest; you’re going to being putting up fantasy points, which has been the case for Longwell this season. Ranking third among fantasy kickers, the Vikings’ kicker is averaging a very solid 9.3 points per game. With the Cardinals giving up at least 8 fantasy points to opposing kickers over the last three weeks, he’s definitely a guy you want to use in Week 13.
Point Projection: 11 points

6. Shayne Graham (Cincinnati Bengals) vs. Detroit

In two of the past three games, Graham has reached 12 fantasy points. With the Detroit Lions coming to town, he’ll get very close to that type of production again this Sunday. The Lions are allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing kickers at a clip of 9.6 per contest and have given up at least 9 fantasy points to the kicker position in each of their last six games.
Point Projection: 11 points

7. David Akers (Philadelphia Eagles) @ Atlanta

It’s hard to find consistency from your kicker in the world of fantasy football as so many factors determine whether they put up a good game or not. But, those owners who have Akers have received solid production from the position week in and week out. Ranking as the No. 1 kicker in fantasy this season, Akers is averaging 10.0 points a contest and has no contest in which he has kicked for less than 6 fantasy points. 
Point Projection: 10 points

8. John Carney (New Orleans Saints) @ Washington

Whether it be via field goals or extra points, there’s always plenty of opportunities for fantasy points when you kick for an offense that’s posting an average of 37 points per week on the scoreboard. The Saints keep marching on, and as a result, Carney keeps making a viable fantasy option.
Point Projection: 10 points

9. Nate Kaeding (San Diego Chargers) @ Cleveland

Over the past two weeks, Kaeding has 28 fantasy points. During the two game stretch, he’s a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals, while adding 7 extra points. The Chargers have things clicking on the offensive side of the ball right now, which should mean a big day against the Cleveland Browns, who give up 25.4 points per game, this weekend. Continue to ride the hot leg of the Chargers’ kicker.
Point Projection: 10 points

10. Olindo Mare (Seattle Seahawks) vs. San Francisco

Since week three, Mare’s been as accurate as they come, going a perfect 14-for-14 on field goals. As a result, his fantasy totals have been solid. In fact, in three of his last four games, Mare has posted at least 8 fantasy points. He was held to just four points the first time these two teams met this season, but with this game being in Seattle, we expect him to double that production.
Point Projection: 9 points

11. Lawrence Tynes (New York Giants) vs. Dallas

Tynes has a couple of things going his way for week 13. First, the kicker is riding a three-game streak in which he has had at least 8 fantasy points. Secondly, he’s going up against a Cowboys’ team that he torched for 14 fantasy points back in week 2. While we don’t think this day will be as big for Tynes, we still like him as a borderline fantasy start.
Point Projection: 9 points

12. Josh Brown (St. Louis Rams) @ Chicago

With the St. Louis Rams’ averaging a mere 11.8 points per contest, one may wonder how we can rank Brown so high in our kicker rankings during this crucial week 13. Well, the kicker has been solid of late with no game under five fantasy points in his last six contests. Plus, the Chicago Bears do allow a healthy 6.7 fantasy points per game to the kicker position.
Point Projection: 9 points

13. Matt Stover (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Tennessee

Stover’s been solid since joining the Colts, but he hasn’t been spectacular. Part of the problem is that Indy’s just too efficient on the offensive side of the ball. Rather than settle for field goals, the team finishes drives, leaving Stover with plenty of extra point attempts but few kicks for three points. Luckily, the extra point attempts come so frequently, Stover sitll has fantasy value.
Point Projection: 9 points

14. Mason Crosby (Green Bay Packers) vs. Baltimore

Crosby has racked up an impressive 21 fantasy points over the last two weeks as the Packers have eclipsed the 30 point in each of those contests. Matching up against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night, we’re going to send the 30 point streak ends at two. As such, Crosby, while a strong fantasy play isn’t a great one.
Point Projection: 8 points

15. Jeff Reed (Pittsburgh Steelers) vs. Oakland

In a perfect world the Steelers will be scoring six points and won’t be needing Reed to kick in many field goal attempts but the Oakland Raiders defense has played bend but don’t break defense of late and we wouldn’t be surprised if Reed get some field goal chances in this game. The veteran kicker has made each of his last 11 field goal attempts and hasn’t missed a kick since Week 3. Consider Reed a boarderline start in 12-team fantasy leagues. 
Point Projection: 8 points

16. John Kasay (Carolina Panthers) vs. Tampa Bay

The south paw has enjoyed his finest two week stretch of the season and has the match-up to make it three weeks in a row with at least seven fantasy football points. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers allow over 8 fantasy pints per game to opposing kickers and over the last three weeks opponents have attempted eight field goals on the Buccaneers. The only thing stopping you from starting Kasay this week is the inefficiencies that come with being a kicker in a bad offense.
Point Projection: 7 points
