WIDE RECEIVERS - START ‘EM
Steve Breaston (Arizona Cardinals) @ Tennessee
With Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin must starts in a great match-up, Breaston presents himself as a nice WR3 with some real upside. He has been a solid performer all season, but going against a team that allows nearly 30 points per game to fantasy WRs should mean Warner will spread the ball around to all of his talented targets. In the two games prior to the goose egg he had in week 11, Breaston had averaged 72.5 yards and a TD, numbers that he should reach against a Titans defense in week 12.
Jason Hill (San Francisco 49ers) vs. Jacksonville
Now that Crabtree has shown his value (and must start nature against the 31st ranked Jags defense against fantasy WRs), it’s obvious that there needs to be someone else to throw the ball to. TE Vernon Davis has been a great surprise, but Hill showed potential in week 9 (50 yards and 2 Tds) and the 49ers need to start emphasizing the spread offense with such a stagnant run game. Feel free to put Hill on your “Watch List” this week to see if this projection comes to any fruition.
Kenny Britt (Tennessee Titans) vs. Arizona
The Cardinals have allowed over 20 points per game to fantasy WRs, and Britt has a lot of upside to perform well on Sunday. Britt posted 10 fantasy points against Houston on MNF, and it seems like QB Vince Young is looking Britt’s way when he needs to make a throw. He should be a good WR3 for this week, and 7-8 fantasy points from a possible waiver wire pick-up should definitely peak your interest.
TIGHT ENDS - START ‘EM
Greg Olsen (Chicago Bears) @ Minnesota
The Vikings biggest (and maybe only weakness) is covering the TE. Tight ends have lit up the Vikings this season to the tune of 658 yards and 7 TDs, and it should be more of the same with lightning fast Olsen on the opposition’s side. Olsen’s peaks and valleys as a fantasy TE has probably given his owners fits this season, but the fact is, when he’s good, he can really improve your line-up. 65+ yards is a given, as Cutler is looking often at Olsen as of late.
KICKERS - START ‘EM
Rian Lindell (Buffalo Bills) vs. Miami
The Dolphins have allowed the most fantasy points in standard leagues to opposing kickers. This may not be a stat that matters to the Dolphins; however fantasy owners can use every extra point they can muster. Lindell has a strong leg, and even better is that the Bills offense is somewhat anemic, which hasn’t resulted in too many touchdowns, but plenty of FG opportunities have arisen.
DEFENSES - START ‘EM
Cincinnati Bengals D/ST vs. Cleveland
We missed with the Bengals pick last weekend, but you know they will come back with a vengeance after the heartbreaking loss to the Oakland Raiders. QB Brady Quinn had his best game ever as a pro in week 11, but the Lions are not the Bengals. The Bengals go up against a Browns’ team that hardly has a running game as well as an extremely unreliable passing game. This game should equal a couple sacks, a few turnovers, and a low points total, so it’s just another week for the Bengals to flourish.
