Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 12 Kicker Rankings.

1. David Akers (Philadelphia Eagles) vs. Washington

Akers had his worst fantasy performance of the year in week 11, yet he still notched 6 fantasy points. That should tell you all you need to know about Akers’ consistency on the year. The top fantasy kicker on the year is our top ranked kicker for week 12 as he gets set to face a Washington Redskins’ team that he tallied 11 fantasy points against earlier this season.
Point Projection: 11 points

2. Ryan Longwell (Minnesota Vikings) vs. Chicago

Playing for what has now become an explosive offense in the Minnesota Vikings, a team that is posting over 30 points per game, Longwell has become an excellent option for fantasy owners. The Vikings’ kicker should once again get plenty of opportunities for fantasy points this week against a Bears’ defense that is allowing 22.5 points per contest.
Point Projection: 10 points

3. Lawrence Tynes (New York Giants) @ Denver

Tynes has been back on track of late, posting 8 and 9 fantasy points over the last two weeks. The good times should continue to roll on Turkey day as Tynes will match-up with a Denver Broncos’ defense that has given up 9 or more fantasy points to opposing kickers in three of their last four contests.
Point Projection: 10 points

4. Mason Crosby (Green Bay Packers) @ Detroit

Not often does a match-up get any better for a kicker in the NFL. The Detroit Lions have allowed opposing kickers to score 9.7 fantasy points per game and have allowed eight field goal attempts over the past three games. With the Packers sporting one of the best offenses the league it should lead to plenty of kicking chances out of Crosby. Don’t expect him to convert on four field goals like he did in Week 4 against Detroit but 2 FGs to go along with a handful of extra points is likely.
Point Projection: 10 points

5. Jeff Reed (Pittsburgh Steelers) @ Baltimore

In three meeting with the Baltimore Ravens last season, Reed notched seven total field goals. The Steelers’ kicker should have a busy day yet again on Sunday as the Steelers offense may sputter more than usual with Big Ben a bit banged up. Utilize Reed as a mid-tier K1 option for week 12.
Point Projection: 9 points

6. Rob Bironas (Tennessee Titans) vs. Arizona

Perhaps no one is happier to have Vince Young under center than kicker Rob Bironas. With Young leading the offense, Bironas has racked up four straight double digit fantasy performances. The Arizona Cardinals have limited opposing kickers to just 5.8 points per contest this season, but in three of their last four games, the Cardinals have allowed 8+ fantasy points to the kicker position. Bironas’ may not hit the double digit mark in week 12, but he shouldn’t be too far off of it.
Point Projection: 9 points

7. Matt Stover (Indianapolis Colts) @ Houston

Stover has been a perfect 7 for 7 on field goal attempts since taking over the kicking duties for the Colts. Sadly, though, that’s been in 5 games of work. However, fantasy owners should note that two of those field goals did come in the Colts’ first match-up with the Texans this season, a game that Stover had 8 fantasy points in.
Point Projection: 9 points

8. Dan Carpenter (Miami Dolphins) @ Buffalo

Carpenter’s been a poor man’s David Akers this 2008 season. Following a dismal 1 point outing in week 1, the Miami Dolphins’ kicker has 6+ fantasy points in every contest he’s played in. That includes a week 4 outing of 8 fantasy points against the very Bills’ team he’ll be squaring off against in week 12. Feel free to continue to roll with the unheralded Carpenter.
Point Projection: 9 points

9. Nate Kaeding (San Diego Chargers) vs. Kansas City

Kaeding’s coming off a huge 15 point fantasy outing in week 11 and matches up against a Chiefs’ team that’s allowing 7.9 points per contest this season in week 12, making him a solid option for this weekend. In the Chargers’ previous meeting with the Chiefs, Kaeding notched 12 fantasy points.
Point Projection: 9 points

10. Jay Feely (New York Jets) vs. Carolina

Feely is coming off his worst performance of the year, as he tallied just two extra points in the team’s week 11 loss to the New England Patriots; however, prior to that performance, he had five straight performances of 7+ fantasy points. The Carolina Panthers, meanwhile, have allowed 13, 6, and 6 fantasy points to opposing kickers over their last three outings, making Feely a borderline week 12 start.
Point Projection: 9 points

11. Stephen Gostkowski (New England Patriots) @ New Orleans

With both the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints averaging 29+ points per game this season, this week’s Monday Night affair promises to be one of the high-scoring variety. High-scoring games translate into solid fantasy days for those kickers involved, so look for Gostkowski to be close to his 9.0 point average.
Point Projection: 8 points

12. John Carney (New Orleans Saints) vs. New England

Over the Saints’ past two games, Carney has kicked 9 extra points to just one field goal. That ratio should even out a bit in week 12 with the Saints taking on the New England Patriots. While this game still promises to be a high-scoring affair, the Saints will be settling for more field goals than they’re use to.
Point Projection: 8 points

13. Shayne Graham (Cincinnati Bengals) vs. Cleveland

With the Bengals’ offense failing to finish off drives of late it has led to Graham connecting on seven field goals over the last month. His 32 fantasy football points over the last four games are in the top half at the kicker position and a match-up against a porous Cleveland Browns defense should lead to Graham having enough kicking chances to flight with double-digit fantasy points.
Point Projection: 8 points

14. Rian Lindell (Buffalo Bills) vs. Miami

Lindell has nailed all seven field goal attempts over his last four games but his four extra points during that span have limited his fantasy football production. On the season he is making field goals at a 89.5 percent clip but until the Buffalo Bills start showing some stability on offense it’s risky to start their kicker. However, no team has allowed more field goal attempts than the Miami Dolphins bend but don’t break defense so this could lead to another decent showing from Lindell.
Point Projection: 8 points

15. Nick Folk (Dallas Cowboys) vs. Oakland

Terrible is the only way you can explain the play of Nick Folk over the last two weeks. It’s not his fault that the Cowboys offense has limited his chances of making extra points but he is to blame for missing a 38-yard and 46-yard field goal attempt over the last two weeks. Look for him to regroup this week against an Oakland Raiders team that struggles on the road but don’t rely on him to completely right ship on Turkey Day.
Point Projection: 7 points

16. Neil Rackers (Arizona Cardinals) @ Tennessee

Over the last seven games Rackers has attempted 25 extra points to just six field goals. With the Cardinals’ offense finding the end zone at an unstoppable rate it’s led to Rackers being limited to point after touchdown attempts and not many chances to knock down three pointers. Facing a Tennessee Titans defense that allows 27 points per game means Rackers owners should expect much of the same in Week 12.
Point Projection: 7 points
