To highlight how little kickers are thought about in the fantasy world, ESPN analyzed how many fantasy football teams loss in week 10 due to Maurice Jones-Drew passing up a TD at the end of the Jacksonville Jaguars - New York Jets game. The number came out to approximately 10,000 owners. However, was any research conducted to see how many owners won as a result of Josh Scobee getting those extra three fantasy points? There was not. Week in and week out, kickers fail to get the respect they deserve, but trust us they are making differences in fantasy games. With that said, we bring to you the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 11 Kicker Rankings.

1. John Carney (New Orleans Saints) vs. Tampa Bay

In kicking for the highest scoring team in the NFL in the New Orleans Saints (36.8 points per game), Carney is averaging a stellar 8.0 fantasy points per week. Meanwhile, his week 11 opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are allowing opposing kickers to tally 8.1 fantasy points per contest and are coming off a week 10 game in which they allowed Miami Dolphins’ kicker, Dan Carpenter, to connect on four field goals. Carney is in store for another solid outing.
Point Projection: 14 points

2. Mason Crobsy (Green Bay Packers) vs. San Francisco

Crosby will be kicking against a San Francisco 49ers team that has allowed the fourth most points to opposing kickers at 8.3 per contest. They’ve, also, allowed opposing kickers to reach double digits in five of nine games. Seeing as this one’s in Green Bay, a further disadvantage for the Niners, it seems safe to say that Crosby will be a top kicking option in week 11.
Point Projection: 12 points

3. Stephen Gostkowski (New England Patriots) vs. New York Jets

Patriots’ kicker, Stephen Gostkowski, has posted double digit performances in three of his last four games. Add that fact to the fact that he tallied 10 fantasy points against the New York Jets in their first match-up of this season, and you can see why we’re high on Gostkowski for week 11. While Bill Belichick may not punt on fourth downs, he does attempt field goals.
Point Projection: 12 points

4. Ryan Longwell (Minnesota Vikings) vs. Seattle

In all but two outings this season, Longwell has amassed at least 9 fantasy points. That will happen when you kick for a team that’s posting 30.1 points per contest. Against the Seattle Seahawks, look for Longwell to be around his usual 9 fantasy points as Seattle has allowed 8.5 fantasy points to opposing kickers over the team’s last four games.
Point Projection: 11 points

5. Jeff Reed (Pittsburgh Steelers) @ Kansas City

Reed has connected on at least 2 field goals in three of his last four games. That production has led to a solid 9+ fantasy points in those three outings. Reed should be around the 9 point range yet again in week 11 as the Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. The Chiefs have allowed 8.1 fantasy points per contest to kickers this season.
Point Projection: 11 points

6. David Akers (Philadelphia Eagles) @ Chicago

With 90 fantasy points on the season, Akers leads all kickers in fantasy production. The best apart about it, too, is that Akers’ lofty point total isn’t a result of a few big games. The Eagles’ kicker has been the epitome of consistence with at least 8 fantasy points in every game he has played in. There’s no reason to bet against him now.
Point Projection: 11 points

7. Rob Bironas (Tennessee Titans) @ Houston

Since Vince Young took over the starting QB spot for the Tennessee Titans, Bironas has notched fantasy games of 14,10, and 12 fantasy points. The double digit streak will continue on Monday Night when the Titans take on the Houston Texans, a team that Bironas tallied 8 fantasy points earlier in the season with Kerry Collins under center.
Point Projection: 10 points

8. Kris Brown (Houston Texans) vs. Tennessee

Brown may have just two outings of 10+ fantasy points on the year, but one of those outings did come against the Tennessee Titans as the Texans’ kicker tallied 10 points in their week 2 match-up. With Owen Daniels lost for the year, the Texans may see a few more drives stalling in the red zone - something that Brown will benefit from.
Point Projection: 9 points

9. Lawrence Tynes (New York Giants) vs. Atlanta

With the New York Giants offense faltering of late, Tynes’ production has dipped; however, we’re betting that the bye week helped fix some of the offense’s ailments. Look for the Giants to move the ball more efficiently than in prior weeks, especially on the ground against the Falcons’ 26th rush defense, leading to more scoring opportunities for Tynes.
Point Projection: 9 points

10. Nate Kaeding (San Diego Chargers) @ Denver

Kaeding hasn’t reached the double digit plateau in three weeks, amassing just 16 points in that span; however, the first time Kaeding and the Chargers met up with Denver, the kicker tallied 13 fantasy points, kicking three field goals in addition to two extra points. The Broncos have allowed 9 or more fantasy points in three of their last four contests, so Kaeding projects to a solid play here in week 11.
Point Projection: 9 points

11. Shayne Graham (Cincinnati Bengals) @ Oakland

The Bengals should have more success when it comes to putting the ball into the end zone in week 11 than they did in week 10, which will mean a dip in production for Graham. Luckily, owners of the Bengals’ kicker should not worry too much as that dip will be minimal thanks to Graham’s match-up. The Oakland Raiders on the season have allowed the third most fantasy points to opposing kickers at 8.8 points per game.
Point Projection: 8 points

12. Neil Rackers (Arizona Cardinals) @ St. Louis

Rackers has just missed one field goal on the year; however, that stat becomes a little less impressive when you consider he’s attempted just 12 kicks on the season. The Cardinals have been highly efficient in getting the ball into the end zone, limiting Rackers’ fantasy value. Still, even if it’s all extra points, the Cardinals should score enough against a Rams’ team that is giving up 27.7 points per game this season to warrant Rackers a play in week 11.
Point Projection: 8 points

13. Matt Stover (Indianapolis Colts) @ Baltimore

In the four games in which he’s kicked for the Colts this season, Stover has had two outings in which he did not attempt a FG. The good news is that the Colts scored 6 TDs in one and 5 TDs in the other, preventing Stover from being a fantasy bust in either one. The Baltimore Ravens will not post two shutouts in a row as the Colts’ offense is not one you stop, just one you hope to contain. As such, whether it’s extra points or field goals, Stover will get fantasy points.
Point Projection: 8 points

14. Nick Folk (Dallas Cowboys) vs. Washington

After apparently running on all cylinders, the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive machine hit a kink in the road in week 10. The result? A goose egg for Folk in standard scoring leagues. Folk will make up for the lack of scoring in week 10 with a solid week 11 as the Redskins’ have given up the 10th most fantasy points to kickers on the year. He’s not a must start, but Folk is a strong option if you’re looking for a kicker for week 11.
Point Projection: 7 points

15. Dan Carpenter (Miami Dolphins) @ Carolina

Despite ranking 6th among fantasy kickers and scoring at least 7 fantasy points in each game since week 1, Carpenter is still owned in less than 30% of ESPN’s fantasy leagues. Yes, he may not be the biggest of names, but he is in an ideal situation for a kicker. The Dolphins, even in losing Ronnie Brown, are capable of running the ball; unfortunately, when they get into third and long situations, they sputter due to an inefficient passing game. That leads to stalled drives and field goal opportunities. The seven point streak continues for Carpenter in week 11.
Point Projection: 7 points

16. John Kasay (Carolina Panthers) vs. Miami

The good news for Kasay’s owners is that in facing the Miami Dolphins, the Panthers’ kicker gets to go against the team allowing the most fantasy points to opposing kickers at a clip of 10.2 points per contest. The bad news is that Kasay has just three outings on the year in which he has more than 5 fantasy points. We think he gets a fourth here, but barely as we have him penciled in for 7 fantasy points.
Point Projection: 7 points
