14. Zach Miller (Oakland Raiders) vs. Kansas City
In a game that should rival the all snoozer game of the Detroit Lions vs. St. Louis Rams a few weeks ago, there should be one winner for sure this week. And that my friend is Zach Miller of the Oakland Raiders. He has accumulated a solid 421 yards on the season and is facing a Kansas City Chiefs defense that has allowed 408 receiving yards to tight ends. While he isn’t highly recommended this week as he sits as a higher-end TE2 in deeper 12-team leagues, he is not a complete disaster either. If you are stuck because of the recent rash of injuries at the position, Miller will prove to be a serviceable player.

15. Dustin Keller (New York Jets) vs. Jacksonville
A lot of people will see that Dustin Keller is facing the Jacksonville Jaguars this week and will start drooling; they shouldn’t. In fact, unless you are heavily strapped at this position, you should have an opportunity to plug in one of the above mentioned names in hopes of finding more productivity as week 10 is a very important week if you are on the cusp of making the playoffs or not. Of course, playing spoiler has its benefits as well. Don’t buy the Keller hype against the Jaguars.
Point Projection: 5 points
16. John Carlson (Seattle Seahawks) @ Arizona
The numbers aren’t impressive, and the Seattle Seahawks have been banged up so badly on the offensive line that John Carlson has had to sit back and block more often than not, but he did have 6 receptions for 42 yards last week in a game in which they were playing from behind for the majority of the 60 minutes. That should be the case again this week againats the Arizona Cardinals, a team that has given up plenty of yardage and 5 touchdowns this season to the tight end position. While it is recommended to be a bit timid with Carlson this weekm he does hold the potential to play above this slotting.
Point Projection: 5 points
17. Todd Heap (Baltimore Ravens) @ Cleveland
Forget about the great performance that Todd Heap enjoyed in week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs because Heap is pretty much a 3-4 reception, 35-45 yardage tight end for the Baltimore Ravens. The Cleveland Browns do bring some hope, as they have allowed 6.8 fantasy points on average to this position, but it has to be said that in week 3, Heap had only 41 receiving yards and failed to meet the end zone against Cleveland. Leave Heap on your bench unless you have no better options.
Point Projection: 4 points
18. Tony Scheffler (Denver Broncos) @ Washington
While Tony Scheffler has been very inconsistent this year, he does hold some promise this week. Why? He faces a Washington Redskins’ defense that allows a handful of fantasy points every week to the tight end; not many though, just 4.5. Scheffler has only 229 yards and 2 touchdowns on the year, so he really is a player that can’t be relied on this week. Play at your own risk.
Point Projection: 4 points
19. Daniel Fells (St. Louis Rams) vs. New Orleans
For high’s, Daniel Fells has had fantasy point weeks of 9 and 15. That is the good news. The bad news is that he hasn’t scored more than 2 in any other week of this season. He has suited up for every game, so it really is up to you to play him if you think he will do well against the New Orleans Saints. Here at the Bruno Boys, we just don’t like the odds.
Point Projection: 3 points
20. Fred Davis (Washington Redskins) vs. Denver
While Fred Davis is doing an admirable job trying to fill Chris Cooley’s shoes, the fact is that Davis is nothing like Cooley. In fact, against the Denver Broncos defense that allows 2.9 fantasy points per week to opposing tight ends, Davis should be sat - something you’d rarely do with Cooley.
Point Projection: 2 points
21. Spencer Havner (Green Bay Packers) vs. Dallas
Spencer Havner has become a touchdown machine posting three in week’s 7 and 8 combined, but the Dallas Cowboys are very unforgiving to the tight end position as they have only allowed 3 touchdowns to tight ends on the year. That isn’t good news for fantasy owners that need to rely on Havner this week. Do your best to look for better options. Don’t buy into the hype.
Point Projection: 2 points
22. Jeff King (Carolina Panthers) vs. Atlanta
The good news is that the Atlanta Falcons allow 8.5 fantasy points per game. The bad news is that Jeff King does not have the talent to take advantage of that. Skip past this Carolina Panther as he is more like a lil’ kitty cat.
Point Projection: 2 points
23. Joey Haynos (Miami Dolphins) vs. Tampa Bay
You may be asking, “Who?” right about now, but Haynos has racked up 8 fantasy points in back to back weeks thanks to a quick six in each contest. The TD streak will end at two as Haynos will be kept from pay dirt, but on the bright side, the two fantasy points will remain.
Point Projection: 2 points
24. Anthony Fasano (Miami Dolphins) vs. Tampa Bay
The Miami Dolphins have not relied on the tight end position as much as would have been expected with Chad Henne at the helm. But that doesn’t mean that Fasano will go for a goose egg. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have allowed over 6 fantasy points per game to tight ends and that could continue this week. While it isn’t guaranteed, Fasano is a low-end play that could turn into a decent TE2 in deeper leagues.
Point Projection: 2 points
25. Bo Scaife (Tennessee Titans) vs. Buffalo
If you are looking to win a game to make your playoffs, you need to look past Bo Scaife. He has only compiled 165 yards with 0 touchdowns this year. If you are expecting a change of pace, then you are in a lot of trouble.

WEEK 10 BYE WEEK TIGHT ENDS
Kevin Boss (New York Giants) - Boss’ role hasn’t exactly increased as much as many of us believed it would with Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer gone from the Giants’ roster, but he has had a TD in each of his last two games, so he’s worth a look if he’s still on your league’s waiver wire.
Owen Daniels (Houston Texans) - An injury cut short what would have been a career year for Daniels as the tight end had 519 yards and 5 scores in 8 games prior to going down.
Joel Dressen (Houston Texans) - He’s no Owen Daniels.
