16. Carson Palmer (Cincinnati Bengals) @ Pittsburgh

The Bengals offense again looked good last week against the Baltimore Ravens, though it did stall a bit after racking up the points early. Quarterback Carson Palmer will face one his toughest tests this season when Cincinnati travels to Pittsburgh for a rematch of the week three game that the Bengals won. In that game Palmer managed just 183 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. Expect some more yards this time around but also probable interception or two, and you’ll probably see a similar point total for Palmer in this game as you did in Week 3.
Point Projection: 12 points

17. Matt Cassel (Kansas City Chiefs) @ Oakland

The big story surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs is that they have released former All-Pro running back Larry Johnson. To some that might look like a big hit to the offense, but really it could be a blessing in disguise. Johnson’s absence could allow the offense to operate in more harmony than before, and it will mean that Cassel has to pass more as the running backs left on the roster aren’t that good. This week Cassel and the Chiefs face the Oakland Raiders, so expect another low double-digit game for the Kansas City quarterback.
Point Projection: 11 points

18. Kyle Orton (Denver Broncos) @ Washington

Entering last week’s game with the Steelers, Denver quarterback Kyle Orton had only thrown one interception all season. Then in the loss to Pittsburgh he goes out and triples that number with three picks. Expect a good bounce back game from Orton but not one that will generate a lot of fantasy football points as the Washington Redskins are first in the league in passing yards allowed.
Point Projection: 11 points

19. David Garrard (Jacksonville Jaguars) @ New York Jets

In the last for games for the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard has been either hit or miss as he’s had two solid games and two that he’d like to forget. The New York Jets are in the top 10 in every major defensive category except for rushing yards allowed, yet we’re in the school of thought that Garrard will register double digits in this game. All he has to do is avoid Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, a task much easier said than done.
Point Projection: 11 points

20. Mark Sanchez (New York Jets) vs. Jacksonville

Following his worst performance of the year three weeks ago where he registered negative fantasy football points, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has responded well with back-to-back double-digit games before the team had a bye week last week. The Jacksonville defense isn’t too great and has been thrown on often this season, but it’s likely the Jets will run the ball often in this game, thus limiting the opportunities for Sanchez. Still, the rookie out of USC makes for a great risk/reward play in Week 10, and if faced with a bad matchup from your regular quarterback Sanchez could be a choice that pays off.
Point Projection: 10 points

21. Vince Young (Tennessee Titans) vs. Buffalo

Thus far Tennessee quarterback Vince Young has done what the team has needed him to do and that’s to take care of the ball and help move the offense. His stats haven’t been great (25 fantasy points over last two games) but his play has led to two wins for the previously winless Titans. This week Young will face the Buffalo Bills, and you can expect a similar performance out of him as he’s had in the last two weeks.
Point Projection: 10 points

22. Matt Stafford (Detroit Lions) @ Minnesota

Detroit quarterback Matt Stafford started out the game well enough last week against the Seattle Seahawks as he had two early touchdown passes in the first quarter. Things went south quickly as he went on to throw five interceptions in a losing effort. The thing with the Lions is they have shown that when they get down early that they’ll throw the ball a lot to try to remain in the game. In a tough matchup against the Vikings hat will help give Stafford some fantasy football points, but he’s probably not a guy you want near your roster.
Point Projection: 9 points

23. Chad Henne (Miami Dolphins) vs. Tampa Bay

Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne didn’t play terrible in a loss to the New England Patriots last week, but he didn’t play well either as he had 219 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. Playing against the Buccaneers, who are 30th in the league in passing yards allowed, you would expect a solid game from Henne but until we see some improvement and more consistency, he will remain around this spot in the rankings. Plus, it doesn’t help that the Dolphins’ tend to use the Wildcat formation often around the end zone.
Point Projection: 8 points

24. JaMarcus Russell (Oakland Raiders) vs. Kansas City

It’s Week 10 of the NFL season and Oakland quarterback JaMarcus Russell has yet to record a double digit fantasy football performance and he has 19 fantasy points through eight games. There’s no reason to think he’ll reverse that trend this week, even though the Raiders are coming off a bye week and the Chiefs’ rank 30th against the pass.
Point Projection: 7 points

25. Josh Freeman (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) @ Miami

Freeman had a wonderful NFL debut as he has three touchdowns in leading Tampa Bay to a come-from-behind win over the Green Bay Packers. However he is a rookie quarterback that’s stuck on a bad team so with the good, you’ve got to expect the bad. With only two teams on a bye in Week 10 you shouldn’t be considering Freeman in standard leagues, unless you are forced to start two quarterbacks.
Point Projection: 7 points

26. Trent Edwards (Buffalo Bills) @ Tennessee

At the time this article was put together Buffalo quarterback Trent Edwards was still awaiting medical clearance from his concussion, but it is expected he will play this week against the Titans. Regardless of which quarterback plays for the Bills this weekend, neither of them should be anywhere near your starting lineup even with all the problems the Titans have on defense. Reason being, Buffalo quarterbacks are 29th in completions per game, 30th in passing yards per game and have thrown just eight touchdown passes in eight games.
Point Projection: 7 points

27. Jake Delhomme (Carolina Panthers) vs. Atlanta

Carolina quarterback Jake Delhomme hasn’t put up double digits since Week 5 when he somehow accomplished that feat against a solid Washington Redskins pass defense. The Panthers will run the ball and run it often, and even when Delhomme does throw the ball it’s likely to end up in the arms of his opponents anyway (13 interceptions in eight games).
Point Projection: 7 points

28. Jason Campbell (Washington Redskins) vs. Denver

The Broncos have one of the best secondaries (183.3 passing yards allowed per game) in the league and Washington (14.1 points per game) has one of the most stagnant offenses. Mix all that together and you’ve got a recipe for a disastrous fantasy football performance from quarterback Jason Campbell, who has almost as many interceptions than touchdown passes (9 TDs to 8 INT).
Point Projection: 6 points

29. Derek Anderson / Brady Quinn (Cleveland Browns) vs. Baltimore

For the second time this season the Browns have refused to name a starter, this time it’s as they prepare for the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. As if it really mattered anyway, the Browns (9.8 points per game) are completely terrible on offense regardless of whether Derek Anderson or Brady Quinn plays at quarterback.
Point Projection: 5 points

30. Marc Bulger (St. Louis Rams) vs. New Orleans

The Rams are facing the New Orleans Saints this week in what looks to be one of the most lopsided games of the season. The Saints are extremely good at intercepting opposing quarterbacks (16 interceptions in eight games) while St. Louis quarterback Marc Bulger is really good at nothing. Avoid Bulger at all costs.
Point Projection: 5 points

WEEK 10 BYE WEEK QUARTERBACKS

Eli Manning (New York Giants) - The bye week couldn’t come at a better time for Eli Manning and New York Giants. That team is a mess right now and far away from what it’s capable of.

Matt Schaub (Houston Texans) - Matt Schaub nearly led the Houston Texans to a come from behind win over the Colts in Indianapolis last week. If the Texans had a good running game, perhaps they would’ve been able to close that game out. Regardless, Schaub is the second ranked fantasy football quarterback to date and has at least 10 fantasy points in eight of his last nine games.

Finfann,

Who did you end up going with? Both had solid afternoons, even with Orton getting hurt before halftime, and Marshall was amazing in the first quarter for your squad.

Hope you won in Week 10.
