Michael Vick tossed a pair of touchdown passes as the Philadelphia Eagles cruised to a 20-7 road triumph over the Dallas Cowboys, who lost quarterback Tony Romo to a hand injury and opted to rest some of their starters on Saturday.
On the team's first series, Romo suffered a contusion on his throwing hand after he hit the helmet of Philadelphia defensive end Jason Babin. In lieu of the New York Giants' 29-14 win over the Jets earlier in the day, the Cowboys exercised caution with Romo - and others - by holding them out for the remainder of the contest.
The NFC East title will be on the line New Year's Day when Dallas (8-7) pays a visit to MetLife Stadium to face New York (8-7). The Giants won the teams' first meeting with a 37-34 triumph over the Cowboys on Dec. 11.
Vick completed 18 of 32 passes for 293 yards with scoring strikes to tight end Brent Celek and Jeremy Maclin for Philadelphia (7-8), which was officially eliminated from postseason consideration with the Giants' victory earlier in the day.
