The Chicago Bears will move forward with Caleb Hanie as their quarterback despite an ugly showing in Sunday's 10-3 loss to Kansas City.

Bears head coach Lovie Smith said Hanie would remain the No. 1 guy despite his zero-touchdown, three-interception performance over the weekend.

Reports out of Chicago suggest the team may consider speaking with Donovan McNabb, who is available after being placed on waivers by the Minnesota Vikings last week.

Hanie, 26, has thrown for 387 yards with two touchdowns and six interceptions in parts of four games this season. He took over the starting role after Jay Cutler broke his thumb in a Nov. 20 game against San Diego.
