17. Pittsburgh Steelers (8-8)
Needs: Offense: WR RB OL/ Defense: OLB DE S
Pick: Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU

Somehow falls to the team that might need him the most since James Harrison contract situation is eroding.

18. Dallas Cowboys (8-8)
Needs: Offense: G OT RB / Defense: DT OLB SS
Pick: Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas

Should probably go offensive line here but Vaccaro fills a big need in the defense.

19. New York Giants (9-7)
Needs: Offense: RB WR/ Defense: ILB DE DB
Pick: Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia

Of all of the inside linebackers, Ogletree has the most upside at the pro level.

20. Chicago Bears (10-6)
Needs: Offense: OL TE WR / Defense: MLB DT S
Pick: Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame

Missed out on all the best tackles, their most pressing need, Bears get the best pass-catching tight end of the draft, making the fans happy in Midway.

21. Cincinnati Bengals (10-6)
Needs: Offense: RB WR OT / Defense: LB S DE
Pick: Matt Elam, S, Florida

Bengals fans will be chanting for Lacy, but will get the hard-hitter, bolstering the Mike Zimmer’s run defense.

22. St. Louis Rams (7-8-1)
Needs: Offense: WR G RB / Defense: SS FS DL
Pick: Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama

With Steven Jackson opting out of his final year, the Rams go out and get the best running back in the draft. They had bigger needs on the defensive side but paired with Patterson, Sam Bradford is a happy man.

23. Minnesota Vikings (10-6)
Needs: Offense: WR RB G / Defense: DT DB LB
Pick: Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia

Whether or not they have Harvin in the mix, Austin fits the offense just fine, spreading the defense and opening up lanes for Adrian Peterson.

24. Indianapolis Colts (11-5)
Needs:Offense: OT G RB / Defense: DE LB CB
Pick: Terron Armstead, OT, Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Andrew Luck needs a good tackle and he’ll get one of the most athletic tackles in the draft, next to Lane Johnson.

25. Seattle Seahawks (11-5)
Needs: Offense: WR RB/ Defense: DE DT
Pick: Robert Woods, WR, USC

He’s no freak of nature, but Woods doesn’t do anything wrong. He’s good size and catches the ball smoothly with good mobility. While he may not have coached him in college, Pete Carroll will look to USC to help his receivers.

26. Green Bay Packers (11-5)
Needs: Offense: OT C RB/ Defense: DE DT S CB
Pick: Jamar Taylor, CB, Boise St.

The release of Charles Woodson means the Packers need a cornerback for the future. Taylor has the speed and skill to do it.

27. Houston Texans (12-4)
Needs:Offense: WR OT QB/ Defense: DE LB CB
Pick: Margus Hunt, DE, SMU

Yes, the Texans need a receiver badly, but just imagine this towering, athletic freak of nature on one side, and J.J. Watt on the other side. [shudder]

28. Denver Brocnos (13-3)
Needs:Offense: OL RB WR / Defense: DT MLB CB
Pick: Jamie Collins, ILB, Southern Mississippi

Many think the Broncos will go with either Minter or Te’o but Collins is a raw athletic backer who can be coached to great things. He’s also got ideal size.

29. New England Patriots (12-4)
Needs:Offense: WR OT / Defense: S CB LB
Pick: John Cyprien, FS, Florida International

The secondary is the primary need to fill here. Coach Belichick has his pick of many DBs and one of the best safeties is still available at 29.

30. Atlanta Falcons (13-3)
Needs: Offense: TE RB OL / Defense: LB DE CB
Pick: Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington

Rather than get in the Revis sweepstakes, the Falcons pick up a corner to line opposite of Brent Grimes and contest the receivers in the division. There’s no guarantee Grimes will be 100% in 2013, so Trufant is a key to the future.

31. San Francisco 49ers (11-4-1)
Needs: Offense: WR QB RB / Defense: DE DT CB
Pick: Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee

The Niners need to compliment Michael Crabtree with a tall target, a guy who can go up and get it. He’s raw, but once he gets it, this offense will be scary.

32. Baltimore Ravens (10-6)
Needs: Offense: LT WR C/ Defense: ILB FS NT
Pick: Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas St.

The very best linebackers have been taken already but that doesn’t shy Ozzie Newsome from picking one of the smaller inside linebackers at the end of the first round. It’s just not the guy who everyone thinks they’ll pick.
