FANTASY FOOTBALL CUT LIST:  QB  |  RB  |  WR  |  TE  |  K  |  DEF

Week 8 of the fantasy football season is in the books and we now have a pretty good idea of the players set to underachieve this season. Some players are just stuck on terrible teams while others are just plain bad. We’ve also added a few players to the list that should be dropped because of injury. If you read our Waiver Wire Savior articles and are wondering who to drop this week, have a look at the list below. All of these guys are safe cuts in most league formats.

TIGHT ENDS—CUT THEM LOOSE

Kyle Rudolph, TE, Minnesota Vikings

We knew that the Minnesota Vikings were entering a tough stretch of games but it was unclear exactly what that meant for Kyle Rudolph. The last two weeks have answered that question. Rudolph has had just 2 catches on only 6 targets in that time and with more tough matchups coming up, things don’t look good. His target numbers are down and Christian Ponder is playing the worst he has all year. The team is leaning on the ground game more than ever. The Vikings schedule only gets worse from here so dropping Rudolph (and Ponder if you haven’t yet) is recommended.

Consider Dropping In: 10-team and 12-team Leagues

Jared Cook, TE, Tennessee Titans

Jared Cook has been steady if unimpressive this season. He’s had at least three receptions in every game but one. Cook also has two touchdown catches on the year but has only reached 40 receiving yards four times in eight games. The Tennessee Titans look as if they are moving back towards a run first offense and that will only further limit Cook’s value. With a rough passing schedule the rest of the year and mediocre production so far, it’s best to part ways with Cook now while replacements are still available.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team and 12-team Leagues
