FANTASY FOOTBALL CUT LIST: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
Week 8 of the fantasy football season is in the books and we now have a pretty good idea of the players set to underachieve this season. Some players are just stuck on terrible teams while others are just plain bad. We’ve also added a few players to the list that should be dropped because of injury. If you read our Waiver Wire Savior articles and are wondering who to drop this week, have a look at the list below. All of these guys are safe cuts in most league formats.
RUNNING BACKS—CUT THEM LOOSE
Vick Ballard, RB, Indianapolis Colts
Vick Ballard has performed admirably in relief of his teammate Donald Brown. He’s averaged 4.3 yards per carry on the 32 carries he received the last two weeks. Ballard also added two receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown. The problem is that Donald Brown returned to action in Week 8 and averaged 5.7 yards per carry on 14 carries. In addition, the Indianapolis Colts play an extremely tough Miami Dolphins’ run defense this week. Ballard may be worth holding onto in deeper leagues but owners in shallow leagues should drop him. This week, Ballard will return to the 5-8 touches per game he received before Donald Brown’s injury.
