FANTASY FOOTBALL CUT LIST: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
Week 8 of the fantasy football season is in the books and we now have a pretty good idea of the players set to underachieve this season. Some players are just stuck on terrible teams while others are just plain bad. We’ve also added a few players to the list that should be dropped because of injury. If you read our Waiver Wire Savior articles and are wondering who to drop this week, have a look at the list below. All of these guys are safe cuts in most league formats.
KICKERS—CUT THEM LOOSE
Rob Bironas, K, Tennessee Titans
Rob Bironas has been playing fairly well this season given how bad the Tennessee Titans’ offense has been. The major problem has been how streaky he is. He’s had at least three field goal attempts in three games this season but has had zero in three games as well. His average of under seven fantasy points per game definitely leaves something to be desired. This week he faces a Chicago Bears’ defense that has absolutely shut down opposing kickers. They are barely giving up one field goal and one extra point per contest. Avoid this matchup at all costs and grab a different kicker.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues
Cut Them Loose Watch List: —None—
Keep Them Cut: Dan Carpenter (Miami Dolphins), Rian Lindell (Buffalo Bills), Justin Medlock (Carolina Panthers), Justin Tucker (Baltimore Ravens), Blair Walsh (Minnesota Vikings)
