Thankfully we are beyond the point of having six teams on bye, yet we are still stuck in the weeks of having four teams on bye. As fantasy teams are preparing for the stretch run for their playoffs it is important to consider all start/sit decisions regardless of the position. Our Week 8 - Sit ‘Ems are here to help you with out with that.
One of the most popular pickups this week has been Arizona Cardinals running back LaRod Stephens-Howling. Getting his first career 100-yard game and a touchdown last week will cause a spike in pickups like that, yet Stephens-Howling is one of many key players you should avoid this week. More on Stephens-Howling, and the rest of the Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit ‘Ems below.
RUNNING BACKS - SIT ‘EM
Mikel Leshoure (Detroit Lions) vs. Seattle
With 100 yards and a touchdown in Week 3, Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure’s debut was a good one. Since then, however, things have gone downhill. Leshoure hasn’t topped 70 yards in a game or scored a touchdown since Week 3, and his fumble last week, which was his second in three games, will not do him any favors with the coaching staff either. Look what awaits Leshoure this week: It’s a matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, who are just one of four teams allowing under 10 fantasy points per game to running backs. Seattle also has given up just one rushing touchdown to a running back all season.
