Week 6 is in the books and we now have a pretty good idea on the players set to underachieve this season. Some players are just stuck on terrible teams while others are just plain bad. We’ve also added a few players to the list that should be dropped because of injury. If you read our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Savior articles and are wondering who to drop this week, have a look at the list below. All of these guys are safe cuts in most league formats.
KICKERS—CUT THEM LOOSE
Justin Tucker, K, Baltimore Ravens
Justin Tucker has been a reliable if unspectacular option at kicker this season. He’s averaging 10 fantasy football points per game and is in a fairly explosive offense. That said, most of those points came in Week 1 and 2. He’s averaged just seven points per game since mostly because of his rough schedule. This week he faces the Houston Texans in a matchup to be avoided. After that Tucker and the Ravens have their bye week. There no reason to keep him on your roster right now. Instead, a wise fantasy owners should drop him and pick him up again after the bye if the matchup is right.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues
Cut Them Loose Watch List: Greg Zuerlein (St. Louis Rams), David Akers (San Francisco 49ers), Alex Henery (Philadelphia Eagles)
Keep Them Cut: Dan Carpenter (Miami Dolphins), Rian Lindell (Buffalo Bills), Justin Medlock (Carolina Panthers), Rob Bironas (Tennessee Titans), Mason Crosby (Green Bay Packers)
