Here are our “Fantasy Football Start ‘Ems” for Week 7 of the 2012 season. As a reminder, everyone knows to start elite players like Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson, and LeSean McCoy, so when we compile our list we make sure to focus on serviceable players that will benefit from a favorable matchup.
QUARTERBACKS–START ’EM
Ryan Fitzpatrick (Buffalo Bills) vs. Tennessee Titans
Whenever you own Fitzpatrick, you have to pick and choose your weeks to start him. He’s got the Tennessee Titans who are giving up fantasy points to quarterbacks like they’re going out of style. You have to hand it to Fitzpatrick, he’s held it together better than most people thought. He’s still streaky and he’s not getting the yardage, but he’s throwing touchdowns. This is one of the weeks you plug him into your lineup.

Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers) at Cincinnati Bengals
Even with Rashard Mendenhall back in the mix, Big Ben is still slinging it to win it. In four of five games Roethlisberger has thrown for at least 40 times in a game and is on pace for 30 touchdowns. The Bengals have made every quarterback look good from Joe Flacco to Brandon Weeden. Roethlisberger has a matchup to die for. He is a top-10 signal caller this week and a must start in your fantasy football lineup.
