FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 7 STARTS:  QB  |  RB  |  WR  |  TE  |  K  |  DEF

Welcome to Week 7 of the 2012 NFL season and the fourth week of byes. Six teams are off this week including Denver, Kansas City, Miami, Atlanta, San Diego, and Philadelphia. Off the table are players like LeSean McCoy, Peyton Manning, Jamaal Charles, Brian Hartline, Julio Jones, and Antonio Gates.

Here are our “Fantasy Football Start ‘Ems” for Week 7 of the 2012 season. As a reminder, everyone knows to start elite players like Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson, and LeSean McCoy, so when we compile our list we make sure to focus on serviceable players that will benefit from a favorable matchup.

KICKERS–START ’EM

Dan Bailey (Dallas Cowboys) at Carolina Panthers

Bailey blew a game-winning field goal against the Ravens, but we think he’ll find redemption in Carolina where they’ve had a good enough defense to stop offenses from getting into the red zone but on average are giving up three field goals a game from 20-49 yards out. The Cowboys might be relying on Bailey more than usual since they’ll be without DeMarco Murray.

Sebastian Janikowski (Oakland Raiders) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

It’s been a quiet fantasy season for Janikowski as owners are still trying to figure out how the Raiders offense works. “Sea Bass” has been doing his part, remaining perfect, splitting the uprights 10 for 10. But since the Jaguars have not been able to stop any team on defense, we think this could be a more fruitful weekend for Janikowski and Raider Nation.
