Here are our “Fantasy Football Start ‘Ems” for Week 6 of the 2012 season. As a reminder, everyone knows to start elite players like Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson, and LeSean McCoy, so when we compile our list we make sure to focus on serviceable players that will benefit from a favorable matchup.
TEAM DEFENSE–START ’EM
Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans
They’re still banged up and bruised but the Steelers defense is making strides. Troy Polamalu will be out once again, but Chris Johnson should have another difficult matchup because James Harrison will play his second straight game and there’s a chance they could get LaMarr Woodley back. That would help bring back the Steel Curtain defense we’ve come to expect each season.

Miami Dolphins vs. St. Louis Rams
The cloud of dust that was kicked up in the first turn of the season is finally beginning to settle and the Dolphins have a wall of a defense. They are allowing a league-best 61.4 rushing yards per game, 2.7 yards per rush, and just two rushing touchdowns. At some point, opposing teams just stop trying to run against them. They can still be beaten through the air, but Bradford will be without his arguably best receiver, Danny Amendola.
