Week 4 of the fantasy football season is in the books and we now have a pretty good idea on the players set to underachieve this season. Some players are just stuck on terrible teams while others are just plain bad. We’ve also added a few players to the list that should be dropped because of injury. If you read our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Savior articles and are wondering who to drop this week, have a look at the list below. All of these guys are safe cuts in most league formats.
RUNNING BACKS—CUT THEM LOOSE
Shonn Greene, RB, New York Jets
Shonn Greene has a habit of taking up valuable roster space without ever contributing to your fantasy football team. He is always borderline droppable but never clearly so. He’s making things a little easier this year by underperforming at a level that’s bad even for him. Since Week 1 he has averaged 2.4 yards per carry with no touchdowns and only two catches for nine yards. The New York Jets offense looks horrendous and has now lost Santonio Holmes for the foreseeable future. Whether or not Greene loses the starting job to Bilal Powell has little effect on his value. He is not playable in any but the very deepest. Part ways with him now to avoid any further pain.
