FANTASY FOOTBALL CUT LIST: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
Week 4 of the fantasy football season is in the books and we now have a pretty good idea on the players set to underachieve this season. Some players are just stuck on terrible teams while others are just plain bad. We’ve also added a few players to the list that should be dropped because of injury. If you read our Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Savior articles and are wondering who to drop this week, have a look at the list below. All of these guys are safe cuts in most league formats.
QUARTERBACKS—CUT THEM LOOSE
Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks
It’s hard to say that Russell Wilson hasn’t met expectations in his limited role of the Seattle Seahawks’ ground oriented offense. Through three weeks he had only 75 passing attempts; however made the most of his opportunities. It was especially excusable since Wilson had played top caliber defenses in those games. in Week 4, against the St. Louis Rams he looked horrendous. He passed for only 160 yards and threw three interceptions. He was dancing in the pocket, locked in on the receiver he was going to throw to and played like a rookie that was lost. There’s a chance that Wilson will get his act together but even if he does he is not a viable fantasy play. He has yet to surpass 200 yards passing in a game all year. Let another owner in your league buy into his hype and take your chances on a more proven signal caller.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues

Mark Sanchez, QB, St. Louis Rams
The New York Jets are facing a lot of problems on offense right now. They have no run game, a sub 50% passing completion rate and both of their top receiving weapons, Santonio Holmes and Stephen Hill, are either out or will be limited this week. They also happen to play an outstanding Houston Texans’ defense that is likely to have a field day. Essentially, Mark Sanchez is not worth owning even before we look at his weekly performances thus far. Outside of Week 1, Sanchez has not been playing like a veteran, instead he is rivaling the play of a rookie gunslinger. Over the last three games, Sanchez has more interceptions than touchdowns, a 44% completion percentage and a high quarterback rating of 67 in a single game. Dump him before the Jets announce that Tim Tebow is the quarterback.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues
Cut Them Loose Watch List: Jake Locker (Tennesee Titans)
Keep Them Cut: Tim Tebow (New York Jets), Matt Cassel (Kansas City Chiefs), Sam Bradford (St. Louis Rams), Blaine Gabbert (Jacksonville Jaguars), Josh Freeman (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
