FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 5 SITS: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
Setting your lineup can be difficult once the full bye weeks commence, and that is where we find ourselves in Week 5. The waiver wire has been picked clean, options are limited and you’re stuck with some tough lineup decisions. Our Fantasy FootballWeek 5 Sit ‘Ems should help you decide who to bench, and as usual there are some big names on this list.
The biggest names are running backs Fred Jackson of the Buffalo Bills and Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans. Jackson returned from injury to play last week but only had 29 rushing yards. Johnson had his best game of the season with 141 yards, but he still finds himself on this list as well because of a tough matchup in Week 5.
TEAM DEFENSE - SIT ‘EM
New York Jets D/ST vs. Houston
Has there been a more disappointing defense and special teams unit than the New York Jets? That unit is averaging just 7.5 fantasy points per game and hasn’t score double digit fantasy points since Week 1. With cornerback Darrelle Revis out for the season with an ACL injury it’s unlikely the Jets will reach the level we’ve come to expect from them. That is especially true for this week’s game against the Texans. Houston ranks second in the league in points point game and has arguably the most balanced offense. The Jets failed to score a fantasy point last week, and though they should do a bit better this week, do not expect much better.

Buffalo Bills D/ST @ San Francisco
OK, we were wrong. There is a more disappointing fantasy defense and special teams unit than the Jets, and hails from Buffalo. Big things were expected from the Bills after they signed defensive end Mario Williams and drafted cornerback Stephon Gilmore with the 10th overall pick, and those guys were supposed to complement an already solid defense. Buffalo currently ranks 27th in total yards allowed per game, 28th in rushing yards allowed per game and 30th in points per game. They can’t stop anybody, and they won’t stop the 49ers this week.
