FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 5 SITS: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
Setting your lineup can be difficult once the full bye weeks commence, and that is where we find ourselves in Week 5. The waiver wire has been picked clean, options are limited and you’re stuck with some tough lineup decisions. Our Fantasy FootballWeek 5 Sit ‘Ems should help you decide who to bench, and as usual there are some big names on this list.
The biggest names are running backs Fred Jackson of the Buffalo Bills and Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans. Jackson returned from injury to play last week but only had 29 rushing yards. Johnson had his best game of the season with 141 yards, but he still finds himself on this list as well because of a tough matchup in Week 5.
RUNNING BACKS - SIT ‘EM
Jonathan Stewart (Carolina Panthers) vs. Seattle
Upon returning to action last week Carolina Panthers receiver Jonathan Stewart ran 10 times for 40 yards. The timeshare with him and DeAngelo Williams is in effect, and that’s never a good thing for your fantasy team. Stewart has been considered a fringe FLEX play but he should not be considered for any lineup this week against the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle is giving up just 62.8 rushing yards per game, and they’re the third-best fantasy defense against running backs, giving up an average of just nine points per game. Just because Stewart is back does not mean he’s a good play, even in deeper leagues.
