Week 3 of the fantasy football season is in the books and we now have a pretty good idea on the players set to underachieve this season. Some players are just stuck on terrible teams while others are just plain bad. We’ve also added a few players to the list that should be dropped because of injury.
We’ve already released our list of waiver pickups to target in the Weekly Waiver Wire Savior, so if you are looking for players to dump in order to add new ones you can consider the guys below.
TEAM DEFENSE—CUT THEM LOOSE
Pittsburgh Steelers DST
The Steelers’ defense continues its fall into fantasy football oblivion. The Steelers are on bye this week so you can’t play them anyway, however through three weeks they don’t look worth holding onto at the cost of another bench spot. In fact, they let a mediocre Oakland Raiders offense move the football at will and showed no signs of turning it around. Even with the return of Troy Polamalu and James Harrison, after the bye, you can’t guarantee big things from this once “Steel Curtain.” There are plenty of good fantasy defenses that are barely owned this year. Grab one of them.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues

Keep Them Cut: Kansas City Chiefs DST, Jacksonville Jaguars DST, San Diego Chargers DST
