FANTASY FOOTBALL CUT LIST: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
Week 3 of the fantasy football season is in the books and we now have a pretty good idea on the players set to underachieve this season. Some players are just stuck on terrible teams while others are just plain bad. We’ve also added a few players to the list that should be dropped because of injury.
We’ve already released our list of waiver pickups to target in the Weekly Waiver Wire Savior, so if you are looking for players to dump in order to add new ones you can consider the guys below.
QUARTERBACKS—CUT THEM LOOSE
Josh Freeman, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Freeman has had a rough year so far. He faced two solid defenses in the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys back to back. On top of that, Tampa Bay has returned to being a run oriented offense. The problem is Freeman hasn’t been one of the players running. Freeman has rushed for just 14 yards on eight carries in three games after averaging 19 yard per game over the last two years. To make things worse he’s also had barely any passing opportunities. He’s averaging just 163 yards passing per game. That is terrible. He’s borderline useless in fantasy right now. His completion percentage is nothing to write home about as well, so it’s not as if he’d do much better with more opportunities. Drop him if you own him. There are much better options out there right now.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues

Sam Bradford, QB, St. Louis Rams
Bradford hasn’t played terrible. He did have a good Week 2 against a below average Washington Redskins’ defense. The problem is with his other two games. He got destroyed by the Chicago Bears’ defense and didn’t even manage to pass for 200 yards against the Detroit Lions weakened secondary in Week 1. Outside of the Redskins’ game he is averaging 175 yards per game with only one touchdown against two interceptions. Bradford plays two consecutive great defenses in a row (Seattle and Arizona) so you don’t want him wasting roster space right now. Grab someone else.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues
Cut Them Loose Watch List:
Mark Sanchez (New York Jets), Jay cutler (Chicago Bears), Michael Vick (Philadelphia Eagles)
Keep Them Cut: Ryan Tannehill (Miami Dolphins), Tim Tebow (New York Jets), Matt Cassel (Kansas City Chiefs)
