FANTASY FOOTBALL CUT LIST: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
Week 3 of the fantasy football season is in the books and we now have a pretty good idea on the players set to underachieve this season. Some players are just stuck on terrible teams while others are just plain bad. We’ve also added a few players to the list that should be dropped because of injury.
We’ve already released our list of waiver pickups to target in the Weekly Waiver Wire Savior, so if you are looking for players to dump in order to add new ones you can consider the guys below.
KICKERS—CUT THEM LOOSE
Rob Bironas, K, Tennessee Titans
Bironas looked to have a decent statline this week in the Titans’ high scoring game over the Lions with 12 fantasy points in total. Looking behind that number you’ll find that he missed two short field goals. Next week the Titans play a Texans defense that pretty simply doesn’t give up points to kickers, especially ones in bad offenses. The Texans have been outstanding so far this year, giving up only 2.5 fantasy points per game to kickers. You want no part of this matchup or Bironas. Drop him.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues

Dan Bailey, K, Dallas Cowboys
Bailey hasn’t been especially productive this year mostly because of a lack of opportunities. He has had just four field goal chances and five extra points through three weeks. This week he goes up against a strong Bears’ defense that has given up nine points per game to kickers. That’s not completely terrible but given how stagnant the Cowboy’s offense has been since Week 1, it’s probably best to avoid Bailey at least until after the Week 5 bye.
Consider Dropping In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues
Cut Them Loose Watch List: Alex Henery (Philadelphia Eagles), Dan Bailey (Dallas Cowboys), Garret Hartley (New Orleans Saints)
Keep Them Cut: Dan Carpenter (Miami Dolhpins), Rian Lindell (Buffalo Bills)
