FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 4 STARTS: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
It’s Week 4 of the 2012 NFL season, and some of you are probably still in a haze from last week’s shocking results. It was a wild week of football, one that gave us plenty to think about for this week and unfortunately complain about. How about that Monday night game? Be sure to check out our Waiver Wire Savior List , Waiver Wire Cut List articles, and Long-Term Investing articles.
Here are our “Fantasy Football Start ‘Ems” for Week 4 of the 2012 season. As a reminder, everyone knows to start elite players like Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson, and LeSean McCoy, so when we compile our list we make sure to focus on serviceable players that will benefit from a favorable matchup.
RUNNING BACKS–START ’EM
Cedric Benson (Green Bay Packers) vs. New Orleans
One reason the Saints are 0-3 is that they cannot stop the run. They are the league’s worst run defense and are giving up an average of 166.7 yards per game. Jamaal Charles’ two long touchdown runs skews that number but it’s been a problem each and every week. That doesn’t necessarily mean that Benson is going to punish them for 150 yards, but the Packers would be unwise to shy away from the run this week. Monday night in Seattle may have left Benson sleepless, but he should be leaping into the crowd at Lambeau on Sunday.
