FANTASY FOOTBALL CUT LIST:  QB  |  RB  |  WR  |  TE  |  K  |  DEF

The fantasy football season is young but we’ve already seen enough of some players to know that they are going to live up to our draft day expectations of them. Whether the plays has fallen behind on their teams’ depth charts, suffered an injury or bad play, these guys just aren’t worth rostering right now.

In any case, it’s really easy to want to cut all kinds of players this early in the season but we definitely advise against it. We’ve already release our list of waiver pickups to target in the Weekly Waiver Wire Savior. There are a lot of underachieving players that we would hang onto for at least another couple weeks, but here’s a list of the guys we’d drop right now to make room for potential additions. Just remember it’s too early in the season to start dumping elite players like Chris Johnson. Give your elite fantasy football players a chance to bounce back this week. A lot can change with another game in the books.

KICKERS—CUT THEM LOOSE

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo Bills

Lindell had an excuse for not scoring well in Week 1. The Jets kicked the pants off the Bills. He never even got a field goal opportunity. The team was down so much all game that they kept going for it on fourth downs instead of kcking. Week two was a different story. The Bills were ahead all game but Lindell still didn’t get his first field goal opportunity. So going into week three with just 9 extra points to show for his work he comes up against the Browns. The Browns have given up only three field goals in two weeks. The stout defense should limit the Bills scoring and spoil any opportunity Lindell may appear to have. There’s a chance Lindell finally has a good week but against the Browns’ defense, why risk it?

Dan Carpenter, K, Miami Dolphins

Carpenter is in almost the exact situation Lindell is only he swapped one field goal for three extra points. After having scored next to no points in the first two weeks he comes up against a stout Jets defense that has allowed only two field goals. This is simply another matchup to avoid at all costs this week. Grab anyone else.
