FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 3 SITS:  QB  |  RB  |  WR  |  TE  |  K  |  DEF

You want big names? Well, we’ve got them in our Fantasy Football Week 3 Sit ‘Ems. It’s not that we’re out to get these guys but so many premier players have bad matchups this week. Take a look at Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, for example. Vick has seven turnovers and four touchdowns in his first two games. He is considered an elite fantasy quarterback but at what point do you bench him? Vick’s potential is enough but at some point you must be honest with yourself and admit he’s playing poorly.

Vick is one of many players to grace this week’s list but he is far from the only big name. Three of the four running backs themselves were considered first-round fantasy picks heading into the season. So be sure to check out the rest of our Fantasy Football Week 3 Sit ‘Ems.

WIDE RECEIVERS - SIT ‘EM

Vincent Jackson (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) @ Dallas

The difference between Weeks 1 and 2 for Tampa Bay wide receiver Vincent Jackson was 81 more yards and a touchdown. However, the difference was only one more catch. Of course Jackson brings deep-threat potential to the table but if he doesn’t catch that bomb then where is his value? The Buccaneers are better at passing the ball this year compared to last season but they still have some issues to work out. Freeman’s been better but still has some accuracy issues. Jackson is great when he scores but when he doesn’t he’s just another average wide receiver. The Dallas Cowboys have yet to allow a passing touchdown to an opposing wide receiver, and they limited Seattle Seahawks receivers to a combined six fantasy points last week.

Sidney Rice (Seattle Seahawks) vs. Green Bay

The unfortunate thing about having a rookie at quarterback is that you have a rookie quarterback. The Seahawks have looked pretty good so far with Russell Wilson at quarterback but the passing game has sputtered, as evidenced by the lack of production by wide receiver Sidney Rice. Rice has caught just seven passes for 69 yards in two games thus far. It’s going to be a long game for Wilson and the passing game against the Green Bay Packers, who forced four interceptions out of Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler last week. Until Wilson proves he can be a passer and not a game manager, Rice belongs on the bench.
