FANTASY FOOTBALL CUT LIST: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
The fantasy football season is young but we’ve already seen enough of some players to know that they are going to live up to our draft day expectations of them. Whether the plays has fallen behind on their teams’ depth charts, suffered an injury or bad play, these guys just aren’t worth rostering right now.
In any case, it’s really easy to want to cut all kinds of players this early in the season but we definitely advise against it. We’ve already release our list of waiver pickups to target in the Weekly Waiver Wire Savior. There are a lot of underachieving players that we would hang onto for at least another couple weeks, but here’s a list of the guys we’d drop right now to make room for potential additions. Just remember it’s too early in the season to start dumping elite players like Chris Johnson. Give your elite fantasy football players a chance to bounce back this week. A lot can change with another game in the books.
TEAM DEFENSE—CUT THEM LOOSE
Kansas City Chiefs DST
The newly healthy Chiefs’ defense got demolished by Matt Ryan this week. The team managed only one sack and did not force a single turnover. They were passed on at will. To be fair their run defense looked pretty solid but that won’t get you very far in most scoring formats. Next week they have a neutral matchup at Buffalo against Fitzpatrick and company. Spiller looked outstanding this week and there is no reason to believe the Bills won’t shred them through the air. The loss of Brandon Carr is extremely evident and the Chiefs couldn’t put together the pass rush to make up for it. With the Chiefs playing at New Orleans in week 3 after being on the road in Buffalo, they don’t look worth owning right now. Don’t write them off later in the season though because they have an excellent playoff schedule. Until then they aren’t worth owning.
