Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Pick: After drafting a running back with each of my first two picks, the need in Round 3 was to take the best available wide receiver and I was thrilled to see Reggie Wayne fall to me at 3.03. Wayne was the No. 12 receiver taken off the board and a large part of that has to due with the fact that Peyton Manning isn’t fully recovered from a neck injury, and his Week 1 status is uncertain. We are seeing a fall in all Indianapolis Colts skill players, however I am not convinced it’s justified. Manning hasn’t missed a game during his NFL career, and while a neck injury is never something to take a chance with, I’d be shocked if he misses significant time. It might take the Colts’ offense a few weeks to click once Manning returns, but at the end of the day Wayne is a veteran who gets the job done week in and week out.
