Consisting of 10 members of the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Staff, along with guest columnist’s from Fighting Chance Fantasy and The IDP Guru, our first of many Fantasy Football 2010 Mock Draft was a 16-round affair based on a standard scoring league (Pass TDs - 4 points, All Other TDs - 6 points, 25 Yards Passing - 1 point, 10 Yards Rushing/Receiving - 1 point). Outside of having to field a starting line-up occupied by 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 D, owners were free to compile their rosters any way in which they pleased.

All commentary after each pick is provided by the Bruno Boys staff member who made that pick. The draft started on February 15, 2010 and we will report round-by-round updates as they are available. Make sure to check back for more commentary on our Fantasy Football 2010 Mock Draft.

FEBRUARY MOCK DRAFT ROUND 16 RESULTS

16.01: Bruno Boys Cavigs - Ryan Longwell (Min) — Drafting a kicker is not the most exciting part of fantasy football; however, I am a firm believer that if you get the right kicker he can act as a WR3-type scoring option for your fantasy team. Also, I like to draft a kicker who either kicks in a dome or warm weather. In Longwell I address both of my kicker needs and I’m pleased with the 13-year veteran rounding out my draft.

16.02: Bruno Boys Greg - Rob Bironas (Ten) — Here is proof that you are foolish if you pick a kicker before the last round of your draft. Bironas is a year removed from being the top scorer among kickers and added a lot of points when Tennessee put things together in the second half of the season. I am sure he will have another solid year with the Titans.

16.03: Bruno Boys IDP Guru - Todd Heap (Bal) — It wasn’t too long ago when Heap was considered a premier fantasy TE. He showed flashes of that capability again at the end of the 2009 season by catching 4 TDs in his final 3 games. Flacco is still young and learning and will continue to use Heap as a safety valve. I’ll take him as my backup TE.

16.04: Bruno Boys Kyle - Sebastian Janikowski (Oak) — I needed a kicker. I took one. Do you really need an explanation? Didn’t think so.

16.05: Bruno Boys Cory -  Larry Johnson (Cin) — It’s round 16 and I’m in the mood to take a shot on a guy who could pay big dividends. The Washington Redskins recently signed Larry Johnson, and given that Clinton Portis is breaking down Johnson could easily see a lot of time this season. I don’t think Johnson is done, I think there is still some tread on the tires so this late pick could become a good one for me.

16.06: Bruno Boys Allie - Josh Cribbs (Cle) — Cribbs is a force to be reckoned with on special teams and a player whose versatility and explosiveness have been the “X” factor for Cleveland on many occasions. Cribbs wanted a new contract with the Browns and just restructured his deal. He also wants to play a larger role in the offense in 2010. If Mangini follows through and gets Cribbs more involved, then he could potentially see 8-10 touches per game in three different positions – return man, wide receiver and running back – and occasionally the QB in the Wildcat. I like Cribbs as my WR6 because he offers low risk/huge reward potential – the ideal Round 16 pick.

16.07: Bruno Boys Jimbo - Lance Moore (NO) — He’s on the Saints, everybody’s got a chance to score on that team.

16.08: Bruno Boys Jacob - Anthony Gonzalez (Ind) — Expected to have a breakout performance in 2009, injuries derailed his season and he was jumped by both Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie. Gonzalez is talented, but now has the injury prone tag and dropped until round 16. I will gladly take the chance because the risk is far greater than the reward.

16.09: Bruno Boys Hallam - Adam Vinatieri (Ind) — Even though he was hurt most of the year, Vinatieri still kicks for one of the better offenses and he kicks indoors. Hopefully he will be back to normal in 2010.

16.10: Bruno Boys Whooley - Jay Feely (NYJ) — It’s Round 16 and the only position I need to fill is kicker. I considered a few different options here but the Jets inability to consistently punch the ball into the end zone should give Feely plenty of kicking chances. I know there is talk that Feely could sign elsewhere but in the end I feel New York is the place for him. Regardless, he will be kicking somewhere in 2010.

16.11: Bruno Boys Larry - Lawrence Tynes (NYG) — Like many of the other experts in this draft, I like kickers whose home field is inside a dome and/or plays for a high scoring team. But when you have the second to last pick in the draft and you don?t like to take a kicker before the final round you are stuck with the best of what?s left. In this case I don?t feel stuck, Lawrence Tynes is a very good kicker who plays for a relatively high scoring team and I am glad to have landed a top-ten kicker with this pick.

16.12: Bruno Boys Matt - Josh Brown (StL) — I’m a fan of dome kickers for teams I believe will stall in the red zone. With Brown I get just that. Expect St. Louis’ offense to be improved in 2010; however, until they can find a good quarterback they will struggle inside the 20 yard line.

Round 16 Commentary from Bruno Boys Cavigs: It’s the last round and seven of the 12 picks were kickers… is there much else to say?
