The second week is nearly in the books, and we’re here with the second installment of the Fantasy Football Weekly Waiver Wire - Pick Them Up, an article that lets you know which players are good to pick up in your league. But, a strange thing happened this week in that most of the players that had good performances on Sundays, or at least showed enough promise, are already owned in the majority of 10-team leagues. Since we want to focus on players that are currently available in leagues across the country, it made selecting the players for this weeks waiver wire difficult, especially if you’re in a 10-team league. But, after scouring the statistics, it appears there are some quality guys on the list. Some are only good pickups in deeper leagues, some are only good as spot starters, but here’s the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 3 Waiver Wire - Pick Them Up.
Note: If you’re debating on who to drop to pick these guys up, you should be checking out the Bruno Boys’ article, Fantasy Football Week 3 Waiver Wire - Cut Them Loose and see if anyone on your roster is a Bruno Boys’ recommendation to drop. And, remember you can always visit our forums to get your questions answered about waiver wire candidates, players to drop or anything at all related to fantasy football.

We’ve all been there. You hold a guy on your roster week after week, watching precious free agents land on other teams. You keep waiting for your player to break out. Maybe you think he’s got too much talent and potential or maybe you think he’s just had a tough schedule. Regardless of whether any of these things are true, the fact is sometimes we keep bad fantasy football players for way too long. By the time you realize they’re not going to produce for your team, it may be way too late. You could end up out of playoff contention and your season could be over. It’s under-performing players like these, serious injuries and negative off-the-field incidents that can drag a fantasy team down. That’s why the Bruno Boys will be with you all season long to give you advice on the players to cut and the players you might want to start thinking about letting go.
WEEK 1
Week 1 shed some light on players that were expected to do well and also on some players that weren’t. With week 2 nearing its end, it’s important to remember that the season has just begun. Unless an injury has knocked out a player for a significant amount of time or you have much better options on your waiver wire, the Bruno Boys advice is to give players with upside a little more time to prove themselves before you cut them loose. That being said, here are some guys that you should monitor closely going into week 3.
Note: While you are watching to see if these players can redeem themselves, you should be checking out the Bruno Boys’ article, Fantasy Football Week 3 Waiver Wire - Pick Them Up so you can start planning on whom to pick up to replace them. And, remember you can always visit our forums to get your questions answered about waiver wire candidates, players to drop or anything at all related to fantasy football.

Though there are still two games left to play in the first week of the regular season, the rest are in the books, and there are lots of players who had big games. Of course, Drew Brees and Adrian Peterson already occupy a slot on someone’s roster in your league, but some of the big game producers from week 1 are still available. As such, we’re here to break down the top players that may be available in fantasy leagues, analyze why they can help your squad and let you know what owners should be targeting said individuals. Without further ado, here is the Weekly Waiver Wire article for week 1.
Take Note: Not all players that had strong week 1 outings are on this list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have value. If you have any questions about free agents not discussed in this article, then head over to the forums and we’ll help you with the answers.

Barring injuries and arrests, the very start of the season is never a good time to jump the gun on cutting players. Your assessment, as good as it may be, is based on only one or two weeks of performance. A lot can change in the first few weeks. That’s why Bruno Boys suggests you monitor these players closely and keep your finger poised over the big red drop button. While you are watching to see if these players can redeem themselves, you should be checking out Bruno Boys Waiver Wire - Pick Them Up articles so you can start planning on whom to pick up to replace them.

Each week, I, Bruno Boys Greg, will be writing a weekly article that breaks down many fantasy football relevant topics throughout the NFL season. With no games this week, let’s take a look at three players who sitting on your waiver wire with good match-ups as we enter week one of the NFL regular season. The guys chosen will be owned in less than 50% of fantasy leagues.
1. Nate Burleson, WR, Seattle Seahawks – Burleson is returning from a torn ACL suffered in Week 1 of last year to an offense which has improved its passing game. Matt Hasselbeck is 100% healthy and T.J. Houshmandzadeh is a solid possession receiver over the middle. All of that means Burleson, who is a terrific deep threat and had a touchdown before being injured last year, will not have to deal with any double teams and be open for a lot of deep balls. Many of you may see this as a stretch, but he could reach double digit touchdowns in 2009.
