Tight end continues to be one of the toughest positions in fantasy football to evaluate. With an exception of a handful of tight ends in the NFL, you don’t know what you are going to get on a weekly basis. Week 5 there was only six tight ends to score more then seven fantasy points, but Week 6 there was seven tight ends that scored 11 points or more. Tight end is often is overlooked by fantasy owners, but a good tight end can balance your team and help lead you to the playoffs.
As you search for the fantasy balance that will help lead you to an important Week 7 victory, please enjoy the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 7 Tight End Rankings.
1. Dallas Clark (Indianapolis Colts) @ St. Louis
Dallas Clark has been the most productive tight end in the NFL this year. The Colts are coming off their bye week and he leads all tight ends in receptions (35) and yardage (441). He is one of the top targets in one of the most productive offenses in the league and did we mention that he has Peyton Manning passing the ball to him. Clark is a weekly must-start and he has a great match-up this week against a St. Louis Rams team that is ranked No. 27 against the pass this season.

Five weeks of NFL and fantasy football are now in the books and whether you are 5-0, 0-5 or somewhere in between it is important to stay focused and continue to put your best possible lineup out there each and every week. It usually takes seven wins to get in the playoffs in a standard 13-week fantasy league that allows six playoff teams. So, if you are winless at this point of the season, you have a tough road ahead of you, but all is not lost, you can right this ship.
We are approaching a crucial point in the fantasy football season. This is the stretch of the season that can make or break a fantasy football team, making it very important not to make any mistakes in your starting lineup. You need to start the right players at each and every position and that includes tight end. So, as you search for the tight end that can be a difference maker in your line-up this week, please enjoy the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 6 Tight End Rankings.
1. Antonio Gates (San Diego Chargers) vs. Denver
In the Chargers’ last game in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Antonio Gates had the monster game fantasy owners have been waiting for. He had nine catches for 124 yards with two touchdowns, giving him 24 receptions for 349 yards with two touchdowns through four games. Gates is a must-start fantasy tight end this week against the division rival Denver Broncos.

The further we get into this NFL season the harder it seems to be to predict what will happen at the tight end position. There have been several tight ends this season that have had one big game, but then seemingly disappear. Like any other fantasy football position the key is to find the most consistency from week-to-week. The problem is once you get outside of the top handful of tight ends there is very little consistency at the position.
With consistent tight end numbers so hard to find, it is extremely important to be well prepared when putting your starting lineup together. So as you search for the tight end that can be a difference maker in your line-up this week, please enjoy the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 5 Tight End Rankings.
1. Dallas Clark (Indianapolis Colts) @ Tennessee
Dallas Clark continues to be one of the most targeted tight ends in the league. Peyton Manning has looked his way 34 times this season and Clark has made the most of it. He has 26 receptions for 364 yards and his 47 fantasy points leads all tight ends. Continue starting him in all leagues this week against a Titans team that is giving up 282.2 passing yards per game and 10 passing touchdowns.

Tight end has always been be a boom or bust position in fantasy football. Unless you own one of the elite options, your tight end seems to either get you near double digits points or nothing. There were eight tight ends this week to score nine points or more, but that numbers is inflated as St. Louis Rams’ backup tight end Daniel Fells, who came into the game with one career reception had two touchdown catches and New England Patriots’ backup Chris Baker also added a touchdown; giving both these back-ups double digit fantasy points.
With consistent tight end numbers so hard to find, it is extremely important to be well prepared when putting your starting lineup together. So, as you search for the tight end that can be a difference maker in your line-up this week, please enjoy the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 4 Tight End Rankings.
1. Dallas Clark (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Seattle
Dallas Clark had another very good game in Week 3 with seven catches for 62 yards and a touchdown. He has been the most productive tight end in football this season and that should continue this week. Clark is a wide receiver in a tight end’s body; expect another double digit performance this week against the Seahawks.

Another exciting week of NFL action was capped off by another fourth quarter comeback by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning on Monday night against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins dominated the time of possession in the game, but Manning and the Colts big play offense did enough to win the game 27-23. No one played bigger in this game then Colts’ tight end Dallas Clark who started the game with an 80-yard touchdown reception on the first play of the game. Yes, you read that right a tight end had an 80-yard touchdown reception.
The first two weeks of the season have seen tight ends producing more fantasy football points then in years past. Week 1 saw 11 tight ends posting at least nine points and Week 2 saw much of the same as nine tight ends had nine points or more, topped by Clark’s 24-point effort Monday night. Tight ends are becoming more of a factor in fantasy football and it is becoming more crucial to find the right tight end to start for your team on a weekly basis. So as you search for the tight end that can be a difference maker in your line-up this week, please enjoy the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 3 Tight End Rankings.
1. Dallas Clark (Indianapolis Colts) @ Arizona
After scoring a disappointing three fantasy points Week 1, Dallas Clark had an astounding 24 point effort Week 2. He had seven catches for 183 yards against the Miami Dolphins, which including the aforementioned 80-yard touchdown on the first play of the game. Look for another big week from Clark this week against the Arizona Cardinals as he continues to be one of Peyton Manning’s favorite targets.

The first week of the season is in the books and what a week it was, starting with the overtime thriller between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans last Thursday. Then, finishing with the two Monday night games that featured fourth quarter comebacks by quarterbacks Tom Brady and Philip Rivers.
Week 1 also featured a very productive week for tight ends. When we were setting our lineups for the first fantasy football match-up of the season, most of our mind set was focused on which quarterbacks, running backs or wide receivers would help lead us to our first victory of the season, but in many cases it was the tight end position that really put us over the top last week. There were a total of 11 tight ends that posted nine points or more last week, with Seattle’s John Carlson and New England’s Benjamin Watson leading the way with 21 and 19 points respectively.
So, as you search for the tight end that can be a difference maker in your line-up this week, please enjoy the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 2 Tight End Rankings.

Finally the NFL football season is upon us. We are just one day away from the official start of the NFL season and more importantly the official start of the fantasy football season. Does anyone else find it interesting that the summer seems to fly bye, but the football season seems to take forever to get here? The good news though, is it’s finally here.
After countless hour of preparation for our fantasy football drafts, we have our teams on paper and we are ready to go. Well almost ready to go, your team may look good on paper, but as a good friend of mine likes to say “paper smaper”. I don’t believe smaper is a real word, but it sounds good. The point is, your team can look good on paper, but if you don’t start the right players with the right match-ups each week all your hard work might be for nothing.
Preparing your weekly lineup can be as hard as preparing for your draft, lucky for you the Bruno Boys are here each week to break down each position, player-by-player. So with the quarterback, running backs and wide receiver rankings already available, it’s time to take a look at the tight ends. Tight end is traditionally not a deep position, which makes starting the right tight end even that much more important. With that being said, please enjoy this week’s Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 1 Tight End Rankings.

The tight end position was just miserable last year from a fantasy football standpoint as only four tight ends (Tony Gonzalez, Jason Witten, Dallas Clark, and Antonio Gates) surpassed the 100-point barrier. Compare that to the 27 kickers to surpass the century mark last season, and that stat becomes even uglier. However, help may be on the way as there seems to be a handful of young tight ends on the rise in Owen Daniels, Greg Olsen, John Carlson, Zach Miller, Tony Scheffler, and Dustin Keller that should add depth to the position for many years to come. Continue reading to find out where this latest batch of tight ends ranks in our downloadable Fantasy Football Cheat Sheets.

1. Jason Witten - Dallas Cowboys (Bye: 6)
For the second season in a row Jason Witten sits atop the Bruno Boys preseason Tight End rankings, and for good reason. In 2008 he put together a solid campaign, even while losing quarterback Tony Romo for three games and suffering some nagging injuries of his own. Witten’s numbers were down some from 2007, but he still managed 81 catches for 952 yards and four touchdowns last season.
The Bruno Boys firmly believe that Witten should once again be a very productive tight end in 2009. He has been one of Romo’s favorite targets over the past two seasons, as he has totaled 177 catches. This is a trend that will likely continue this season, especially since the Cowboys released Terrell Owens, who was their top wide receiver. Owens signed a free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills, leaving Dallas a little thinner at the wide receiver spot. You can expect Witten to have another solid campaign and be the first tight end drafted in 2009. If you want to own Witten, you are going to need to use a fourth round pick on him.
