::RANKINGS UPDATED AS OF JANUARY 4, 2012::
The tight end position wasn’t relatively strong this season for fantasy owners. There were two elite players in Jimmy Graham of New Orleans and Rob Gronkowski of New England, and a gaggle of solid but not outstanding options. For example, would it surprise you that Jason Witten had only 13 more fantasy points than Dustin Keller this year? Or that Brent Celek and Vernon Davis accumulated the same number of points? In this weekend’s Wild Card games, one of those elite options – Graham – is playing, and there are a couple more solid options, but a drop-off after that. Let’s take a look at the rankings to see how things will play out.
Standard Scoring
Pass TD: 4 points | All Other TDs: 6 points
25 Passing Yards: 1 point | All Turnovers: -2 points
10 Rushing Yards: 1 point | 10 Receiving Yards: 1 point

Wild Card Weekend is upon us, Bruno Boys Nation! Playoff fantasy football leagues offer us a fresh fantasy beginning—a chance to erase a disappointing regular season, or to build upon bragging rights. It all starts under center, and you’ve come to the right place, so let’s get down to business!
Tom Brady and Matt Fl…er… Aaron Rodgers get the weekend off, and while the AFC offers little in terms of fantasy value, there should be plenty of points to go around in the NFC. Needless to say, if you don’t have a chip in the shootout at the Superdome, you’ll likely be on the outside looking in.

Pass TD: 4 points | All Other TDs: 6 points
25 Passing Yards: 1 point | All Turnovers: -2 points

Week 17 will bring an end to yet another NFL regular season, and an official end to the fantasy football season for leagues that last through Week 17. Most of the defenses fantasy owners have relied on all season have favorable situations this week, but a couple teams that have nothing to gain from a victory this Sunday (Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans) may play a lot of backups so as to save their starters for the playoffs.
Some defensive units that have had ups and downs this season but look likely to finish 2011 strongly include the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins. That said, fantasy owners should not get creative if they have a sure-fire option available to them for Week 17.
Here’s a quick reminder of how to use the Bruno Boys Team Defense Star System to help you select a team defense for the critical week ahead.
BRUNO BOYS DEFENSIVE STAR SYSTEM
5-Stars (*****)- Bruno Boys Top Plays of the Week
4-Stars (****)- Bruno Boys Very Solid Plays of the Week
3-Stars (*** - Bruno Boys Average Plays of the Week
2-Stars (**)- Bruno Boys Try To Avoid Playing This Week

Week 16 was another productive one for fantasy kickers around the league. Graham Gano led the position with 17 fantasy points, and he was one of 14 kickers who amassed double-digit points during the week’s slate of games. San Francisco’s David Akers was tied for second during the week with 15 fantasy points; he leads all kickers in fantasy scoring, and should end the season at the top spot considering he is 25 points ahead of Dallas rookie Dan Bailey, who managed just one point last week.
There are plenty of quality match-ups in Week 17 for fantasy football kickers, so let’s take a look at how the position will fare in the final week of the regular season.
Standard Scoring
17-39 Yard Field Goal: 3 points | 40-49 Yard Field Goal: 4 points
50-plus Yard Field Goal: 5 points | Extra Point: 1 point

::RANKINGS UPDATED AS OF DECEMBER 29, 2011::
Week 16 had just one outstanding performance by a fantasy tight end, with Tennessee’s Jared Cook compiling 169 yards and a touchdown on eight receptions, there were plenty of good outings. Though only Cook has more than 80 receiving yards, 14 different tight ends scored a touchdown last week, and 10 players had at least eight fantasy points. Unfortunately, some of the league’s best at the position (translation: fantasy starters), had less than stellar outings – Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, Jason Witten and Aaron Hernandez each had four or fewer fantasy points.
However, Week 17 has all the makings of a highly productive one at the tight end position, with excellent match-ups for many of the upper-echelon players. Let’s take a look at those match-ups, and others, in our final regular-season tight end rankings of the season.

This is it. We had some laughs and shared plenty of tears. The 2011 fantasy season is coming to a close this week. Many leagues have already decided their champions, but there are still some that have yet to be decided. Week 17 is a difficult week to access when it comes to the wide receiver position, because it’s unknown how much players such as Calvin Johnson and Marques Colston will play this week. Our rankings hopefully will help fantasy owners navigate those obstacles this week and give them their best shot to win a title. It’s been a wonderful regular season with still one week left to savor.

It’s been another crazy year in the NFL and while the fantasy football season ended for many in Week 16, some leagues extend into this week, and those still playing may go insane trying to pick a lineup. There are so many scenarios that can alter the workload for so many running backs, and owners are going to have to keep a close eye on the newswire all week and in some cases, may have to wait for the outcome of 1 p.m. games before starting players in 4 p.m. games or later.
That being said, let’s try to make some sense of the mess in our Fantasy Football Week 17 Running Back Rankings.

Pass TD: 4 points | All Other TDs: 6 points
25 Passing Yards: 1 point | All Turnovers: -2 points

The stars came out to play in Week 16, as Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady and Drew Brees all delivered when it mattered most. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for Tim Tebow or Philip Rivers. Even worse, an early injury to Tony Romo turned fantasy football matchups on their heads.
NFL playoff implications will likely take their toll this week, so be sure to get the scoop in our Fantasy Football Week 17 Quarterback Rankings!
