Throughout the off-season, the Bruno Boys peered into their Crystal Ball to provide you out there in Bruno Boys Nation with a look into what the future held for specific players for the 2009 season. Now, we shift our focus and utilize our psychic powers to provide you with a breakdown of all the NFL games on the docket for this Week 8 of football action as Bruno Boys Kyle presents the Week 8 - Game Previews (Fantasy Style).

Cleveland Browns @ Chicago Bears: It’s difficult to imagine if you’ve watched the Browns play at all this season that they’ve actually won a game, but they did; a 6-3 win over Buffalo in Week 5 in a game Derek Anderson completed just two passes. In fact, he’s completed just 23 passes over his last three games. Don’t expect things to get much better for him while facing a team in the Chicago Bears who were humiliated last week against the Bengals. Fantasy Prediction: Matt Forte hasn’t run for even 25 yards in either of his last two games, but count on him to triple that – at least – in this contest against the 31st-ranked run defense.

Green Bay Packers @ Cleveland Browns: The Packers are still in the midst of the race for a playoff spot; the Browns are in the midst of the race for the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Cleveland has a passing game that leaves observers horrified, and it won’t be easy for them to get on track against Green Bay’s 10th-ranked pass defense. Fantasy Prediction: Ryan Grant has his first 100-yard rushing day of the ’09 campaign.

Houston Texans @ Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals have a chance to continue to surprise people and move their record to 5-1 against a 2-3 Houston squad. Nobody saw this coming from the franchise formerly known as the Bungles, and if they did, I want them to buy me some lottery tickets. On the other hand, Houston will once again finish behind the Colts in the AFC South. Fantasy Prediction: Cedric Benson runs for over 100 yards and two scores.

Cleveland Browns @ Buffalo Bills: In a real barn burner featuring teams with a combined 1-7 record, the Browns come into the game having just traded away their best offensive player, Braylon Edwards, which says something about the offense in Cleveland. Not that Buffalo is a scoring machine, either. They’re averaging 18.5 points per game, which are 6.2 more than the Browns. Fantasy Prediction: Terrell Owens once again fails to surpass 75 receiving yards.

Detroit Broncos @ Chicago Bears: Interestingly enough, the Lions are 2-2 against the Bears in these teams’ last four contests. And after defeating the Redskins last week, the Lions’ confidence must be, if not sky-high, then at least 10-story building high. Still, a winning streak is not in this team’s future. Fantasy Prediction: Devin Hester has over 100 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Cleveland Browns: Arguing over who the worst team in football is can be a depressing thing (trust me, I’m a Rams fan). That said, the Browns are in the argument. Their head coach looks clueless, their quarterback situation is a mess, and offensive touchdowns have become so rare, they’re just a rumor. As for the other team in the state, the Bengals, they’re one fluke play away from being 3-0. Anyone see that coming in the preseason? Fantasy Prediction: Derek Anderson actually throws one touchdown pass – and two interceptions.

Washington Redskins @ Detroit Lions: Combined, these two teams have averaged 33.0 points per game – or 13.5 fewer points per contest than the New Orleans Saints have scored this season. Many pundits are predicting that the Lions get off the snide and win a football game for the first time since 2007, which would make Washington head coach Jim Zorn’s situation even more untenable. Fantasy Prediction: Matthew Stafford throws more interceptions than touchdowns for the third straight game.

Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons: The Panthers are coming off of a crushing defeat due to Jake Delhomme’s inability to throw the ball to players wearing the same jersey as his. It was funny at first, but then it just became sad. The Falcons, after beating Miami last week, are looking to knock off another team that made the playoffs in 2008. Fantasy Prediction: Michael Turner turns in a stalwart performance and rushes for over 100 yards and at least one touchdown.

Miami Dolphins @ Atlanta Falcons: The two biggest surprises of last year square off as their respective franchises take another resurgent step forward. Fantasy owners will be watching to see if Matt Ryan takes a noticeable step forward during his sophomore year. Fantasy Prediction: Ronnie Brown nears 100 yards against an Atlanta run defense that was in the bottom quarter of the league a year ago.
