With Week 17 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist. Each week we will choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
Heading into the final week of the NFL regular season, many games were up for consideration for the Bruno Boys Game of the Week. There are several games this week that have serious playoff ramifications. In the AFC, you have several teams still with a chance to get into the playoffs. In the NFC, we know who the teams are going to be in the playoffs, we are just not sure who is going to play who. With so much on the line this week, it was hard to decide which game we wanted to highlight. After making a case for several games, we decided that there is just way too much on the line in the NFC playoffs for us not to go with the Philadelphia Eagles at the Dallas Cowboys this week. Not only are these two teams bitter division rivals, this game will impact the entire NFC playoff picture. The winner of this game will not only win the NFC East regular season crown, they will also get a higher seed in the NFC playoffs, earn a home playoff game and will give themselves a shot at a first round bye as the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs. These two teams could play each other any other week, and it would be an excellent game, but with so much on the line in this week’s match-up this game is without a doubt worthy of being the Bruno Boys final Game of the Week for the 2009 football season.

With Week 16 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist. Each week we will choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
For the holiday edition of the Bruno Boys Game of the Week we will follow the Denver Broncos as they travel to the City of Brotherly Love to face the Philadelphia Eagles in a Week 16 battle that could have on impact on both the AFC and NFC playoff picture. At 10-4 and sitting in first place in the NFC East the Eagles have already clinched a playoff birth, but with two game left in their season they still need to clinch a division title and they have an outside chance at passing the Minnesota Vikings for a first round playoff bye week. The Broncos on the other hand have an 8-6 record and are sitting in second place in the AFC West division. They are currently in position for a wild card birth in the AFC and a loss to the Eagles could seriously hurt their playoff chances. During this holiday season both of these teams have a chance to bring a little football joy to their respective cities by solidifying their playoff positioning. With both teams in need of a victory this should be an excellent game and should offer a good source of fantasy points for owners looking for a fantasy football championship. Good luck to all this week and happy holidays to you and your families.

With Week 15 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist. Each week we will choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
While there may be other games this week that will be higher scoring and possibly offer more points for fantasy football owners, we could not resist highlighting the Miami Dolphins versus the Tennessee Titans this week. This is a game that could have serious ramifications in the AFC playoff picture. The Dolphins are on a two game winning streak and have a record of 7-6, while the Titans are 6-7 and have won six of their last seven games after a 0-5 start. Both of these teams are mathematically still alive in the chase for the AFC Wild Card, and Miami is just one game behind the first place New England Patriots in AFC East. This is essentially a must win game for both teams, because a loss for either of them would pretty much crush their playoff hopes. It is games like these that you throw the record books out the window as both teams badly in need of a win will likely pull out all the stops. We think fantasy owners might be pleasantly surprised at the amount of points that will be scored in this game.

With Week 14 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist. Each week we will choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
We all know the old saying “things are bigger in Texas” and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones obviously believes that, as we have all seen pictures of the new Cowboys Stadium. Not only is the stadium big, there will also be a very big game played there this weekend when the 9-3 San Diego Chargers travel to Dallas to face the 8-4 Cowboys. The Chargers currently hold a one game lead over the Denver Broncos in the AFC West, while the Cowboys sit in a first place tie with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East. By NFL standards this should be a great match-up and one heck of a game to watch, not to mention with the offensive talent in this game it should be entertaining for fantasy owners. Points should be plentiful in this game, which should lead to big points for fantasy owners at this crucial point in the season. Not only should this be a very good NFL game, it is also the Bruno Boys Game of the Week.

With Week 13 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist. Each week we will choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
This week we follow the 10-1 Minnesota Vikings as they travel to the desert to face the defending NFC Champion Arizona Cardinals, who are 7-4 and leading the NFC West. It will be a match-up of two very good offenses, with two very good veteran quarterbacks going head-to-head (as long as Kurt Warner is healthy), and this game could very well turn into a shoot-out. Once again, NBC has got it right as their Game of the Week is the same as the Bruno Boys. Chances are if you have fantasy players going in this game, you will score a good amount of points for this crucial fantasy football week. Enjoy this game and good luck to everyone this week and on into the fantasy football playoffs.

With Week 12 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist. Each week we will choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and is recovering from the food coma you likely slipped into yesterday. It was not only a great day to stuff yourself sick with turkey and all the trimmings, it was also a great day of football; unless of course you are a fan of the Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders or New York Giants who all lost their Turkey Day games. With three games already in the books for Week 12, the Bruno Boys are packing our bags and heading to the Superdome in New Orleans for what could end up being the NFL game of the year as the New England Patriots try to give the New Orleans Saints their first loss of the season. Even though both of these teams possess above average to very good defenses they have even better offensive skill players and this should be a high scoring affair resulting in a ton of points for fantasy football owners. So as you tune into ESPN for Monday Night Football this week, you will also be tuning into the Bruno Boys Week 12 Game of the Week.

With Week 11 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist. Each week we will choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
This week we will head to Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan for what should be an offensive explosion between the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns…Ok, of course we are kidding, sorry couldn‘t resist the joke. We are actually going to head to Lambeau Field to watch Green Bay Packers play host to the San Francisco 49ers. Now, this game was not picked because my bosses, Bruno Boys owners Marc Caviglia and Mike Whooley are from the Bay Area and 49ers fans. It was picked because this should be one heck of a game and with the offensive play-makers that will be on both sides of the field, it should offer fantasy football owners a significant amount of points. There is also an underlying storyline many of us may have forgotten about. Both of the starting quarterbacks in this game were highly touted coming out of college and they both were mentioned as possible No. 1 overall draft picks for San Francisco in 2005. The 49ers of course took Alex Smith with the first pick and Aaron Rodgers fell all the way to the 24th pick in the first round where he was drafted by the Packers. Their careers have taken different paths, but five years later they will face off head-to-head for the first time in what should be a high scoring affair and is the Bruno Boys Week 11 Game of the Week.

With Week 10 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist as each week we will choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
There were some pretty good games to choose from this week. We could have went with the Cincinnati Bengals at the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North or gone to Lambeau for a heated rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers, but instead we will follow the New England Patriots to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis were they will take on the Indianapolis Colts. As Bruno Boys Cory stated in this week’s Bruno Boys Quarterback Rankings, this is one of the greatest rivalries of this era. These have been two of the best teams in the NFL over the past decade and they are led by two first ballot Hall of Fame quarterbacks in Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. So get your hot dogs, popcorn and favorite beverage ready and tune into NBC on Sunday night to watch a great rivalry that should post a ton of fantasy football points, making the Patriots versus the Colts this week’s Bruno Boys Game of the Week.

With Week 9 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist. Each week we will choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
This week we head to the City of Brotherly Love as the Dallas Cowboys travel to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a NFC East battle. It is a match-up of bitter division rivals who on paper are very evenly matched up. They both have 5-2 records, both teams are on multiple game winning streaks and they have very similar totals in the points for and points against categories. Not only should this be one heck of a game to watch on NBC’s Sunday Night Game of the Week, this game should also offer a good amount of fantasy football points, making it the Bruno Boys Game of the Week.

With Week 8 of the NFL season fast approaching, it is once again time for the Bruno Boys to pick a Game of the Week, with a fantasy football twist. As each week, we choose one NFL game that we feel will have a lot of impact on the fantasy football world.
For the second time this season, the Bruno Boys Game of the Week features the Minnesota Vikings against the Green Bay Packers. This time it marks the return of Brett Favre to Lambeau Field, but for the first time, it will be in a visiting uniform, and it will be interesting to see how the Packers’ faithful responds to Favre in enemy colors. On one hand, he is the quarterback that during 16 seasons as the Packers starting quarterback passed for 61,655 yards with 442 touchdowns, earned three league MVP awards, led the team to a 160-93 record with multiple playoff appearances, two Super Bowl appearances and one Super Bowl Title. On the other hand, he is the same quarterback who retired, un-retired and then requested and was granted a trade. Now, he returns to Green Bay as part of the hated rival Minnesota Vikings. Whether Favre is cheered or jeered this should be one heck of a game and should post a ton of fantasy points from every position.
