Hello Bruno Boys Nation!
Hope everyone had a great week.
As for myself, I enjoyed what seems like a rare weekend home in Los Angeles. Sunday, we watched football with a big group of friends at a plant potting party (that’s plant potting, not pot planting as it tended to come out of my mouth with little regard). Why might you ask were we plant potting. Well, two of our best friends are getting married at the end of the month, so we pulled out the trowels and arranged some succulents in stone gardens for centerpieces. All the while, the outside TV was hooked up with football action. Football and gardening - a match made in heaven!

Hello Bruno Boys Nation!
This is the week when the commissioner eats crow, and the crow’s name is Mohamed Massoquoi. (who? right?) During the draft, when said player was selected by a certain girl, I was concerned it was a mistake and confirmed she had indeed intended to go after this guy of whom I had never even heard. She responded with a “Ya, he’s a nice Southern boy!” Cheers to the south, Ribs and Whiskey. Cheers to the south.
Despite her player emerging with double digit fantasy football points from complete obscurity, I was still able to eek out the win. However, it was my only win of the week as I suffered through tough breaks in my other leagues.

Hello Bruno Boys Nation!
With Week 3 under our belts, the ladies of Girls’ Guide are in it to win it.
I had traveled east to spend Yom Kippur with my parents and got to enjoy some fall foliage up in Vermont. This also meant I was watching football on our 1983 front projection TV. Colorful landscapes and bushels of Macouns (my favorite apple, currently in season) were decent trade offs for lack on HD (to say the least).
Monday Morning Back Patting:
Good call on my part in utilizing LeSean McCoy and Willie Parker as flex starts. While I started both for different reasons, McCoy due to an opportunity against a weak Kansas City Chiefs defense resulting from Brian Westbrook’s injury and Parker because of past success against the Bengals, the results were similar. Both of them scored a touchdown and had over 10+ fantasy football points.

Hello Bruno Boys Nation!
Week 2 put the NFL football season into full swing. I stayed in town this week (something I’m not very good at…), celebrating the high holidays with friends and requesting that Sprinkles Cupcakes makes an Honey Apple feature flavor next year. (right?)
This weekend I reaped the benefits of League Home Sauce member TeNeil’s tree house (where we had our fantasy football draft), and spent Sunday watching the games lounging on a cushy pool raft, interspersed by short trips upstairs to refill my glass and confirm my players stats.
I then went to watch Sunday Night Football at a fellow NY-er’s place. Not surprisingly, everyone was rooting for the New York Giants. I needed 13 yards from TE Kevin Boss to get a win, which is exactly what he got (in the last 2 minutes) securing my victory by less than a point.

Hello Bruno Boys Nation!
I hope everyone was as excited for the first week of football as the ladies of League Home Sauce were!
Our draft video (sponsored by CommishKit) is now up for viewing pleasure. Hot ladies and a fantasy football draft, what more can you ask for? To view the video, click here!
Week 1 was not a total bust for me, my team didn’t do terribly, but I wound up losing anyway (as most people who played against the Philadelphia Eagles D/ST did).

Hello Bruno Boys Nation!
My name is Jordan Zucker and I run and all girls fantasy football website called Girls’ Guide to Fantasy Football (GG2FF). Basically, I encourage women worldwide to participate in fantasy football leagues. I’m more of a ringleader than a guru, but that doesn’t stop me from talking like one. GG2FF offers weekly videos geared towards female appreciation of the game. Last year I did weekly video recaps that had routine segments but different musical themes. This year we’re changing gears and doing interviews with “Girls’ Guide to Fantasy Football Presents: Where in the NFL World is Jordan Zucker?!?!” and you’ll have to tune in to find out which player’s lap I show up on every week.
I am the fantasy football commissioner of a few all girls leagues, but the original, League Home Sauce, had its live draft last Thursday, September 3, 2009 and as usual, it was our favorite night of the year. Our good friends Bruno Boys Fantasy Football and CommishKit Draft Boards sponsored the draft and supplied us with a 12-team Draft Board for our special night. The Draft Board will now be up for display for the length of the fantasy football season! Just to show you how dedicated our league is we even had our two NY-ers attend the draft via video chat. Now that’s dedication!
