Jordan Reed, TE, Washington Redskins
Draft Kings Price: $4,000
Pigs must be flying in Washington because Jordan Reed is reportedly healthy and ready for Week 1 action. The oft-injured tight end has been a dominant force when on the field, providing owners top-3 TE caliber performances week in and week out. The problem has always just been a matter of him staying healthy.
Reed will be catching passes from a new quarterback this season as Alex Smith enters his first season with the Redskins. Smith has been one of the most tight end friendly quarterbacks in the league over the last decade. He has supported a top-12 TE in 8 of his last 9 seasons as a starter in this league dating back to 2007, according to FFStatistics.com.
Reed is going up against a Cardinals defense that was average against the position last season and could be the first read early and often for Alex Smith. Ownership levels should be low based on the injury risk Reed presents and lack of playing time all preseason but, his upside is that of a top-3 performer this week.
