The Cowboys probably weren’t planning on drafting a receiver in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft but CeeDee Lamb dropped into their laps without having to maneuver the draft board. Lamb was easily amongst the top three receivers in a highly touted class at the position and the Cowboys already have a wealth of skill, at the skill positions.
With the Oklahoma Sooner, Lamb amassed 33 touchdowns (15 in 2019) and joins a Cowboys offense that is rich in firepower and also costly in Jerry Jones’ checkbook.
Provided that they can get Dak Prescott to sign an extension, Lamb joins Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup to make a group of receivers that will threaten to score. Combined with Ezekiel Elliott and still with one of the best offensive lines, the Cowboys only needs to make their quarterback happy to keep in contention for the NFC East division.
