The Buccaneers are all in on the 2020 season scoring quarterback Tom Brady and then roping his future hall of famer teammate in New England, Rob Gronkowski out of retirement in time to orchestrate a pre-draft trade. With the Bucs’ offense being littered with playmakers, they used the 13th overall pick on Iowa’s Tristan Wirfs, who give them a nasty hogmali that has yet to reach his potential.
Wirfs gives the Bucs a young cornerstone for the offensive line moving forward and is amongst the top of the crust of offensive tackles in this draft. They’ll need to shore up the line to improve on their performance last season where they allowed the 11th-most sacks in the league. You have to believe that Brady’s quick decision-making will benefit that stat but Wirfs helps too. Now let’s see what they do for the backfield.
