We’ve introduced sports betting to the Bruno Boys website at the start of the NFL season, however we are now taking it one step further with the addition of Soccer betting to our lineup of weekly articles.

We’ve brought in The Daily Slate to our team of sports betting writers. Daily Slate will be our resident soccer (international and domestic) expert and will give his bets pertaining to Over/under, money line, goalline and more. Continue to check back on a regular basis for Dylan’s articles and while you’re at it, head over to his Twitter account for more free and VIP sports betting plays.

Wednesday’s POD will take us to the  Belgium Jupiler League for a matchup between KV Mechelen and Standard de Liege.

Belgium might be a second tier league in European football, but consistently produces top talent that moves on to play in all the top flight leagues. Both of these teams come in sitting mid table with the hopes of bettering their position in the table and a chance for a Europa qualifying spot.

In a league dominated by Brugge, Genk, and Anderlecht, KV Mechelen actually is first in the league in xG (Expected goals per game). Meaning they produce the most quality chances per 90 minutes. They are scoring 2.0 GPG (goals per game) over their las six (L6) at home. On the other side, they also own the league’s 4th worst defense, conceding 36 goals in 21 league matches. Liege may not be the most potent attacking team in the league, but I definitely think they can find the net at least once here.

Like normal, we are targeting the total here. One of my favorite stats to target is previous H2H matches. 5/5 of the last H2H matches between the two have gone over 2.5 goals and are averaging 4.2 total goals. All these stats point me to the over at -120 odds and I would play this even if it gets to O/U of 2.75 goals.

Pick: Over 2.5 Goals (-120) | 2 units

The Daily Slate Overall Betting Record: 2-1 (+1.7u)
