Dante Pettis, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Pettis is getting extra looks early on offense for the 49ers with Marquise Goodwin on the shelf. A second round rookie out of Washington, Pettis caught 2-of-5 passes for 61 yards and a touchdown against a tough Vikings defense in Week 1.

With Goodwin out again in Week 2, we are going to get a better look at what Pettis can potentially bring to the team as he is fighting Trent Taylor for snaps as the teams WR3 on a regular basis.

While Taylor has the looks of a decent possession receiver, Pettis brings far more upside, as evidenced by Week 1’s performance. Pettis is a plug and play WR3 this week and a great DFS value play. We will want to see what his role looks like once Goodwin returns from injury, but he may be worth an add if you’re looking to bolster the back end of your WR corps.
