Geoff Swaim, TE, Dallas Cowboys

There are some big shoes to fill in Dallas at the tight end position as the team’s all-time leading receiver, Jason Witten, retired for a comfy chair in the booth. On a team depleted of any pass catching options, Swaim is currently third on the Cowboys with 11 catches on 16 targets for 104 yards and 1 TD.

Swaim is coming off his highest scoring fantasy performance of the season last week where his 3/39/1 line was good enough for a TE7 finish. This is the world we are living in with tight ends right now unfortunately.

Dak Prescott targeted Jason Witten 87 times last season, the second most of any player on the team. If Swaim can hold a firm grasp on this starting role as tight end and continue to see consistent target shares, especially in the red zone, he could offer matchup based starter value. If you’re completely desperate at the position, Swaim is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues at the most desperate position in fantasy.
